Said I wrote a bad check. I havent had checks in years. I pay everything on line!! Then their call back number was an 877 area code. Total SCAM!!!!

I received the same message, from the same number.
Stop calling!

Got this message and its hard to understand who the company is, nevertheless, the woman said that I had a bad check and that I was going to be served at my job and at my residence if I did not respond within 24 hours.  does anyone have a name for this company?  

There may not be any "company". It could be just a group of scammers with no actual registered business at all. Given the flagrant violations of federal law they committed they're probably not going to give you their business name even if they have one because you could sue them for the FDCPA violations they've committed.
