- cin| 1 replyi continue receiving a recording telling me that this the last notification that the factory warranty on my vehicle is going to expire - we don't even have this vehicle anymore - i have been requesting to be put on their no-call list, but continue to receive calls
- Caller: auto warranty company
- Call type: Event reminder
- L LaRussoI have also continuously received calls from this number regarding vehicle warranty, and I don't want these calls anymore! I don't even own a vehicle, I live in the city.
- Caller: Unknown

WASHINGTON, DC 20032 - DonWhy can't something be done to stop these irritating phone calls from person or persons claiming to be representatives of auto warranty businesses? Personally, I think it is nothing more than bored teenagers with nothing better to do and parents that just don't care.

- reitosMust be a scam of some sorts. I get many extended factory warranty calls each week. Every time I request to be removed, the phone disconnects without acknoledgement, so what I started to do is accept the call, ask to speak to a rep and tell them that "This call has been logged and recorded for the purposes of investigation by the State's Attorney general. Thank you for calling. Any further calls from this number will be treated as solicitations and prosecuted under the CanSpam act. Additionally all calls will be assessed a fee not to exceed $175 per hour for processing".
This usually stops the number from calling back. Keep a log and follow through on the threat. Your AG's office needs to know the number, date and time of the call and has to follow-up.- Call type: Telemarketer
- CarolynI keep receiving calls from this number, but there is no verbal message when it goes to my voice mail, simply an electronic beeping, which is quite annoying when I am attempting to retrieve real voice-mail messages. I have never been home to answer the call, which is probably why it goes to voice mail as a sound, rather than a message. The first time I tried to get the number that was calling, I was told it wasn't available, and then, a couple of times later, it was.
- Cawilliai've been getting calls from this number for months now. Usually I'm not home when they call. When I have answered it all I get is dead silence or a recording about the warranty on my car. What a crock!!! Once I got three calls back to back from three different numbers. I googled them and found out that they were scams or telemarketers.

- joeI have news for you all. I own an extended warranty company. We dont do illegal automated telemarketing like this because we are a legitimate business. The problem comes in when there are unlimited calls for 35 dollars per month per line. Some how they got my wife's cell phone # and keep calling it. Now heres the problem. I know whose doing it. I Called the FTC. They told me there's nothing they can do about it and to have a nice day. This company is a scam. this is thier web page http://www.extended-autowarranty.com/extended ... erage-plans.htm
they have 50 identical pages for 50 states. Whats worse is we know every reputable company in the business. I haven't heard of any of the ones they use. also never trust a company that doesn't put their actual plans up on the site for you to view. A simple list of the coverages is never a good sign and usually indicates your working with a company looking to rob you. compare that site to ours www.extendedcarcare.com- Call type: Telemarketer
- herrerai can not believe that everyone else here has gotten calls from this same number! all i did was type it into google, seeing if a name would pop up, because i had missed the call. but now that i read all these posts, i realize that it is the "warranty expired" callers again. i have no idea why they keep calling, but i am going to take the advice of "reitos" and tell them that. i have had nothing but problems with this place calling me, and i even just changed my number! guess we should have made it unlisted, i dont know if that helps or not!
- AnnoyedSame Same Same here ANNOYING! Who and How can we Contact Anyone to Stop these Calls?

- KristinI too have been receiving these calls both on my cell phone and now on my work phone! This is unacceptable. So I just tried calling back from work and they had a recording right off the bat that said "If you would like to be removed from our customer call list, please press two" so I did and it played hold music for about 3 seconds then another recording came on and said "You have been removed. Good-bye" I iwll follow-up to see if this helps. I would suggest trying it.

- MikeI work in Telecom for a company that has a block of 700 numbers. This number is calling every extension in the building. Anybody know of a way to register a whole block of numbers on a do not call list?
