Received an automated message saying that I need to call BCR at some 800 number. I did not write down the number and erased the call. What is BCR ?

Called my cell and wanted me to call BCR at some 800 number. I did not write it down. Who are they? what do they want?

This number calls a least 7 or 8 times a day. Who are they?

Called but did not leave a message.

i received a call from them too... are they a collection agency?

They keep calling me too, like daily. Very annoying. Why are they calling?

They have been bugging me directly about 7 times a week on my work phone. They keep calling and asking to speak with "accounts payable". When I ask what it is concerning (possibly our for company's mobile phones accounts) they just repeat their question like some type of robot "may I speak with accounts payable". I send them to our main oprator, but then they will call me again later. I do not think they understand English.

They are calling us endlessly asking for someone we don't know. "David" said he was a collection agency. Truly annoying.

Same with me, except when I pick up the phone to ask them to stop calling me, as I am on the DNC,  no one says a word. Sometimes the call 3 or 4 times a day.  They only leave a message for me to call them at the 888-276-8209 number only if I let the machine get it. The messages are different and dont appear to be a recorded message, so that leads me to believe there is a human being , or a sub species of human known as the Telemarketer, on the other end.
Im guessing they want me to call back so they can say I initiated the call, and then they, and any affiliate or client, can call me all they want

I did a reverse look up for this number and this is what it says...... Cellphone...Sprint Spectrum L. p...location Wahsington, Dc.... I got a phone call asking for someone by the name of "jenny" when i said that theres no one here... the person got rude and asked why i was lying to her..... Im on the do not call list also....if they keep calling thers a 800 number you can call and report them to..... hopes this helps any....

received three calls today from 202-607-2733 - twice I wasn't home and the third time I was so I answered it - the caller ID says Washington DC - when I answered the call, I said 'hello' three times and NO ONE answered me back and after the third time, they hung up!!!  So I still don't know who this number belongs to!!!  Anyone know??

They have called daily for weeks and I ignored it. Three days ago I decided I'm tired of hearing them ring several times a day and answer it. A non-native U.S. person asks to speak to Susan. I (her husband) ask questions and tell her not to call back. Someone else comes on the line who is native U.S. They say she owes money on a T-Mobile bill and they are calling to collect. I tell them they've got the wrong Susan, that she has never had a T-Mobile phone. We haggle some more and I tell them there are MANY Susan Does and they have the wrong one and that I want them stop calling. Finally he agrees.

The next day, same thing. Same routine. I tell them to take me off their call back list. They agree.

Today, you guessed it same thing. This time I was MUCH more irate. They will probably call back tomorrow. I sure would like a solution.

BCR is in the bad-debt collection business. I have been read that this type of business gets lists of old bills that vendors have given up on collecting. Companies like BCR and Cambese Law, who also calls from time to time, collect some percentage of any bad debt they can collect. So they have these computer dialers with a person who tries to get someone on the line and then someone who knows what they are doing gets on the line and takes over.

THESE PEOPLE ARE THE WORST KIND, THEY CALL ALL DAY, EVERY DAY AND I AM SICK OF IT. I CALLED THE PHONE COMPANY TO SEE IF I COULD BLOCK IT, AND WAS TOLD NO, BUT I COULD REPORT IT.

The company is called Bureau of Collection or BCR. They have been hassling me with constant calls abut a non-existant debt. I discovered they are headquartered in Eden Prairie, MN, a suburb of Minneapolis. Here is their website. It has contact information for their corporate staff:

THESE BASTERDS CALL AT LEAST TWICE EVERY DAY FOR THE LAST 4 WEEKS, LOOKING FOR A BRANDON. I TELL THEM THERE IS NO BRANDON, AND THEY SAY I AM LYING AND THEY ARE GOING TO GET ME. I AM SICK OF THIS HARRASEMENT

we should all spam the contact people at the website and demand they clear our phone numbers out of the system!

Just about everyday since I got my new T-Mobile phone, I get a call from 2026072733, but nobody answers me when I say, "Hello".  Annoying, indeed.
