Keeps calling asking for people I don't know. Told them many times that they must have a wrong number. They act like they don't hear me.

We just got this number after having requested a number that had not been in use for over 6 months. I don't answer the phone but they are relentless in their phone calls, calling up to 5 or 6 times a day. Its getting to the poitn where having a land line is useless.

They've called my Blackberry three times today.  I don't have it provisioned for voice service, so I pay through the nose if I accept calls.  So I called 'em back on the landline.  They showed my number registered to someone else.  The rep agreed to update their records.  We'll see.

More than half a dozen calls over the past three days. Always asking for Lynn. I've asked them to stop calling me and explained there is no Lynn at this number. They don't stop. I've had this happen once before on my work phone. These people are scum. Makes me want to go back to the middle ages before spam, telemarketing, TV.... It just doesn't seem worth it any more.

Same here!!! Calling at least 5 times a day! All my bills are paid on time, so I know they're not after me-didn't now it was a collection agency until I read this post--

I am having the same problem.  My number is a new cell phone number given to me by my employer.

I work for a corporate store and I recieve calls from this number about three times a day for at least the past month. I never knew this site existed otherwise I would be on it every day! Every time I answer, they hang up.

They call 5 or 6 times a day but do not leave messages telling me who they are or what they want. If they can not leave a message i will not return their call.

They have called me NO LESS than 3 times a day for the last 2-3 weeks. I am going to report this number. I am on the do not call list!!!

They keep calling my home and cell they keep asking for someone I don't know. Some one makr them stop!

I receive numerous calls daily from this number.  Since the phone is a secondary cellular phone used for emergency purposes only, I rarely accept these unfamiliar calls.  One day about a month ago, I decided to answer their call.  They asked for someone I don't know, and I asked them to stop calling this number 3-5 times daily. They didn't stop nor did their pace.  I have tried to turn the tables and call them asking for their information.  Who they are? Address? What does BCR represent?  They responded by hanging up.  I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General, but I wonder if anyone has been successful enough to obtain a mailing address?  If so, please share!  What they are doing is wrong and unlawful.  Thanks!  

I decided to Google this number because have recently (last two weeks) have been calls from this number.  And, from reading other peoples messages, is the same thing.  Calls about 4-5 times a day, no message and when I finally answered it, nobody was there.  Also have been on the "Do Not Call" since onset.

These people call 4 or 5 times a day.  I've answered the phone numerous times and they claim to be looking for someone named Greg Marksburry.  I do not know Greg.  These calls are coming in on my cellular telephone---costing me $$.  How can we stop them from calling?

BCR, which is Bureau of Collections Recovery Inc.,did the same thing to us, and I am sure we are not the only ones being harassed by them. We received three months of daily calls even though we told them wrong number, etc. The only way to stop the calls is a written notice to them; however, they make it almost impossible to find their address. Here is BCR’s address, fax number and website for officers’ info and email addresses. Once they have written notice, they must stop calling or be in violation of 15 US Code section 1692. Constant, constant, constant....  I've never answered because I screen my calls, but I definitely want it to stop.

I get called from 8:30 a.m. until approx. 9:00 p.m. This is very aggravating and I wish it would stop. I have tried to answer the call but all I get is a high-pitched sound like a fax and there's no one on the line. I have called AT&T 2 times re: this problem and they say that I might want to consider changing my telephone number.

This is very irritating.

They have called several times and I decided to call them back.  The message says, "thank you for calling BCR."  I do not know who BCR is.  I am currently on hold.  If they answer I plan to tell them exactly what I think of them!

I finally spoke with someone and they claimed that my boss has an account with them.  I found out that they are trying to get money from him by claiming that he owes an old Cingular Wireless bill.  He has not had a Cingular cell number for more than 5 years.
