AICR on caller ID  No on on the line.

get calls from this number all the time very annoying no one on the line just dead air maybe someone could get the gov on this

Calls nearly every day and hangs up when the phone is answered.

When I answered, no one responded, however, then after several seconds, I could hear the hang up...so someone was on the line.

Same deal.  One call each day........no answer, then a hang up.

Keep getting calls from AICR all most everyday. When I answer the phone they hang-up. Tried calling the number back and all it says is "Sorry we missed your call"

We have received multiple calls from this number. They do not leave a message; will not identify; and hang up if I answer instead of my wife.

Same here--throughout the day and every evening around 7 p.m.--no explanation!!  Today I blocked the call and am hoping that ends it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This caller is persistent and there is no explanation--been going on for about a month.  Can you identify the caller for us????

Been receiving calls daily from this number for about 2 weeks.  When I answer it, nobody responds and I eventually hear the hangup click.

It is the American Institute for Cancer Research.  They have been calling my house daily (we do not answer). AICR is a poorly rated charity that spends too much of its revenue on fund raising and excessive salaries for its officers, see

I sent an email to them at aicrweb@aicr.org requesting that they stop calling my house. If that does not work, I'll file a complaint with the "do not call" registry

Never call them back. Never make a call unless you know who you are calling. This is precisely what they're trying to get you to. It's a trick.

No answer on other end.  I called back and they identified theirselves as Bank of America.  I think it much be a scam.  I wish someone would investigate these calls.  I looked up on white pages and they were listed as individuals.  I would not pay for information on them.  I will not give any money for charity any more asked by phone.   It was a recording I got when I called back.

How can one stop calls from this AICR number?

AICR is a total piece of crap NFP org. They suck.
You cannot stop them from calling since they are a non-profit.
I use a Panasonic phone system and can block callers.
I blocked the initial caller - worked for a while
They changed the number - I blocked that number as well.
They changed the caller ID to "Shanetta Harve" 1-202-607-2809 and I blocked that number as well.
Now I'm getting calls from "Coeur D Alen" 1-208-758-0218 which appears to be no more than a robot caller to see if anyone picks up the phone. (e.g. when are you at home - and do you pick up...)
I'm 99% sure that this last caller is related.
AICR sucks! They can kiss my a$$ - I am not giving them a penny and I encourage you all to stay far away from them.
There are many good charities working (efficiently) in the fight against cancer - AICR is not one of em.

Ditto on calls. Very irritating.

it  appears to be American Cancer REserch in Washington DC Call them @ 1800 843 8114 or 202 328 7744 and tell them you want your number removed
