Someone from Washington, DC called.

Left message to call

It was a collection agency for me as well, but the person they are looking for dosent live here, and they have continusly called.  I have called the number back, and threatend legal action if I fot a nother call, telling them to cease and decist, and the lady told me the they dont have to honor such a thing, and that if the person lives here they will sieze the house, and I laughed, telling her that Im a lawyer, and they cannot seize the house, and that this a a cease and decist, and I wil bring charges under the fair debt collection act if they dont quit, for aggressive tactics, and failing to ceast and decist when ordered.  And besides, the person they were calling about hasnt lived here for about 7 years, so thats What I told them first, and the lady told me that, and i quote, "we have recieved good information, and it cannot be incorrect"  if this number calles and they are in the wrong, call them back and tell them that their information is wrong, and that they are to cease and decist all calls to this number.

same thing left a msg debt collection -no company name

I receive a call daily from this number, usually while I'm away. The message that is left is a partial recording.  I only can make out the last two numbers "she" is saying. When I did answer the phone when they called. No one responded to my greeting. I waited and waited then verbally requested they remove my name from the list (I was probably talking to air). No one in this household owes anyone.  I would love to report them to the officials. They need to get their records straight and stop taking up my voicemail.

I see these posts are from a few years back but I'm getting calls from this number almost every day.  When I pick it up, no one speaks right away so I just hang up. Never have been on the line long enough to find out what they want or who they want.  The caller ID says Washington DC.

Called number back and got a recording stating American Lung Association.

Call at odd times.  Call comes up on ID as AM LUNG ASSOC.  No message left.  I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST and want calls to stop!!!

They have called numerous times and do no leave a message,  Thank goodness for caller ID.  Although, I should probably answer one time and tell them to STOP!  I though I was on the NO CALL LIST, too

A daily interruption.  And we ARE on the do not call registry.  No one answers, just hangs up.  Now, let's see, two minutes per day x 30 days.  Wonder what I could be doing with those sixty minutes....

Mine is from the American Heart Assoc.   I've told them to take me off the calling list too.  These callers are getting more and more clever.  Almost no names used anymore.  

Trouble is my drug insurance companies are getting stupider.  One of them comes in under some woman's first name!  Makes it very hard to tell the legit calls from the spam.

Got one today after not having them for awhile.  Came up Washington DC on caller ID.  I am on the DO NOT CALL list, for whatever good that does me.

Call came up Washington DC but I was not here to answer it.  I am on the DNC list also and will tell them to take me off their list. Recently I have had several calls from "local" businesses and also the city I live in that is a recording trying to sell dental insurance.  What good is DHC list??

Yeah, I'm the deadbeat they're trying to get to payup.  Doctors say I've only got 2 weeks to live so to 'H' with them (and I don't mean heaven).  Maybe if they follow me into hell, they'll collect their just 'pound of flesh'.

Just got a call from this number, left no message.

It's very interesting that an advertisment for "Debt Collection Agencies" is listed near the bottom

of this screen....do they mine this site for info?


The DO NOT CALL is a joke, full of loop holes, yeah pass a law that looks great
for consumers and then the lobby folks come in and pull all the teeth out of it.

We're sick of getting calls we DO NOT WANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
