l was rumly pick for a grovement grant for$10000 the man who call me name is marico  he give me a conformnumber rj147 then call a another number this the number he give me to call(202)618-2169 then they ask you  for the conform num rj147   his name  was robert before the will give you the money  they ask you to  pay $250   check money  then they will depoist in you account or on you per pay card  but you will have to give them your per pay card number before the will give you $1250 dollars back  they say they refund the$250 you surpure to scen them in cash to me this is a scam please dont scen them a dam then  hung up the phone on  then report them like l did  because they will still try to call you from bifferent numbers so please be aware  of this by the way the company names sirpures to be grovement grants so watch out for them if they call you

I just received the same call about government grant money from IMF. I didn't sign up for grant money nor do I know how they knew my name, number, street address and where I live. Kinda creeped me out but I was googling the number this Indian guy gave me while I was on the phone with him and seen several others post the same thing so I knew better then to even think about going any further and wasting my time. If it sounds too good to be true..it usually is. It's a scam

I just received the same called about government grant money for 10,000 dollars the man who call me was unknown he gave me a conform number NH 404 Then he gave me a number to call (202)618-2169 I call the number .I talk to MR.MARK YOUNG He asked my conform number Nh 404 he told me before I get the money I need to pay $250.00 dollar at wal-mart or wal-green money gram and they will pay me back 10,250.00 he said refund my $250.00 dollar with my grant

I just got this same phone call I was ready to do it but then I out in the number and I seen all these comments... I was really hopping it was real! I'm in a down fault with my two young kids and it just was too good😒

Common grant/loan scam.  Originates in India and Pakistan.  There is no grant or loan.  Ignore and block the calls.  It would be a good idea to block the entire 202 area code.  It is often used by these kinds of scammers.

I got the same thing and they won't stop calling me and it's everyday that they call  they say my ID number is ST004 and his name is Freddy and his ID number is 0491073Z

This is the number that they want me to call to confirm my $10,000 Grant money that will never have to be paid but I didn't call them I look up the number first

It doesn't matter if they do or they don't, it is still a scam.
Grant scams:

The government does not call people up and offer them free money because you paid your taxes on time, have never been arrested, have paid all your bills, or whatever excuse they can make up.  In order to get a grant you need a valid reason (not one of the above and not just because you need money), you have to fill out tons and tons of paperwork, wait a long time, and might not even get the grant in the end.  If you are lucky enough to get the grant after all that paperwork, they do not ask you to pay taxes, transfer fees, or any other types of fees.  Also, please note that the government would never ask you to pay these so called taxes or fees to some anonymous person using Western Union, Moneygram, or any of the cards such as iTunes cards which is a new favorite among foreign scammers.

I just got this call too dk759 was my code really wish it was true....

9 calls in 2 days from this number. I blew them out of the water the first time they called, and they still kept calling. They just called me and when I told them I was on a recorded line, THEY hung up.

I see you stopped reading before you were going to find out that it is a scam and that there is no money.  By the way, that person posted here last year (which is clearly evident from the date under the screen name).  Are you really expecting them to stop back to answer you?

They called me multiple times today to say that I will be given $14,000 by the U.S government.  This is a SCAM.  No one is going to give you  money,  especially not the United states  government.
