202-618-8290 is a dangerous phishing operation which logs, processes and sells voice signatures

Huh?  How are "voice signatures" valuable?

Another clueless person who makes assumptions based on rumors.  There is no universal database for voice signatures, ever hear of "voice impersonators" before? The ONLY people who even use a voice signature would be an organization you have an account with and would ONLY be valid to them for that account.

Like the "they trick you to say yes" rumors?  It figures.

Just remember, it has been said that "Everyone is entitled to be an idiot!"

Some people take that to the extreme.

PHISHING scam to get a membership fee from you with promise of a gift

Caller says to be an official call center agent contracted for the NRA membership and info saying something about a new congress bill, the rates i was given from this agent was completely different compared to the information provided on the official NRA website, i hung up without giving any card info with an excuse to check my bank by phone and went to the NRA official membership website listed on my NRA card to check on my subscription and it is correct and active so no damage done.

Caller says to be an official call center agent contracted for the NRA membership renewal and info saying something about a new congress bill, and agent knows my full first and lastname and has a current phone # for me, the membership rates i was given from this agent was completely different compared to the information provided on the official NRA website and I even read off the rates from an recent official NRA mailing and agent keep suggesting different rates that doesn't match the rates from official NRA letter and official website, i hung up without giving any card info with an excuse to check my bank by phone and went to the NRA official membership website listed on my NRA card to check on my subscription and it is correct and active so no damage done.
