Got the same call wondering if its a scam or not

A scam.  It'll collect your personal information and bank information.

These people called saying I would recieve $7,000.00 but when I wouldnt give any c.c or bank info he hung up on me. Why is our goverment not stopping these scam artists?

said they were calling from wells fargo bank. thick indian accent. poor english. ID said washington DC.

I got a call from (202) 738-1413 and I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number.  I decided to call back and someone answered with an Indian accent.  He said that I was eligible for a government grant of some sort.  He was difficult to understand.  Also, I could hear many people talking in the background which was very odd. He mentioned President Obama and how people were getting $200 to $300.  He asked if I wanted to receive a call back from the accounting department or did I want to hear more about the offer. I asked for more information, but he would not give any information until I gave him my first and last name, which I didn't.  I watch news every day and have heard nothing about free money from Government. Concluded this was some kind of a scam.

This creep has been calling me for more than a year now.  He calls me by my first name (mispronounced).  His number comes up with a Washington DC location, but he has a South Asian accent, perhaps Indian, and is probably calling from overseas.  (It's a simple matter to buy a U.S. phone number online while living outside the USA.)  When told to stop calling, he goes into a foul-mouthed rage, firing F-bombs and showering me with curses, apparently believing this is the way to win people over.  Sounds like a real psychopath.  Wish there was some way to find out who he is and where he is.

Indian accent wouldn't tell me company name but knew my name

I just got this call saying that I could get $9,000 without paying anything. The guy never gave a company name or his name. But he knew my name. I really wish that these people would leave me alone and quit calling me.

It's a scam. An Indian lady named anjelina called and said I get 9k and will get it in an hour by someone dropping it off to me. An executioner and I sign paperwork when he arrives. I need to get a money pak for $199 read them the numbers off and they send someone out. They're robbing folks

I have gotten 2 calls today from this number & I hung up.

I just got a call from this number saying I would be receiving money from the government because I had paid my bills on time and had no criminal record. Total to be received would be $5,000 and all I had to do was call this number back with my approval ID given to me by "Officer Ethan" who sounded of middle eastern descent.  It's a scam if you ask me.

Same thing happened.  Said because I had no criminal history and paid taxes.  And the guys name was Ethan.  But the number that showed up on  my caller id was 011-202-7381.  But I need to call back.  Not happening.  caverdema@yahoo.com

I went online for a pay day loan so i could pay some bill off. June 30,2014 . after about an hour, calls were coming in from lenders.One of the so called lenders called from 516-324-2125. a new york number from Bancorp loaners pay day loans a man with a thick indian accent, telling me i was aproved for a loan for $2,000. and at this time i had told him i had needed $3,000 for a loan. at this time he told my to hold on, after about two or three minutes I was told it would be fine. After working out the details about the payments, for $198.00..He then ask if i could over and prove if i can pay back the installments. the man on the other end of the phone was telling me I had needed to buy a green dot card for $ 230.00 to release the loan and tell him the pass code on the back of the card.
Step one: You have to buy the card- green dot card for $ 4;99 to load the card. my card number was #76834501932029 with $230.00 now but after buying I was told it would be  so I go back and buy an nother card for $227.00 .#39689877744703.after I have paid for the frist one that I can't take back. (2) cards $4.99 each

Step two: Call the scamer back with the card number.
Step three:  you would be told the money would be in account in two hours.
Step four :The scamer called me back to tell me that the R.I.S. is holding my funds because my funds are coming from oversea and the US goverment. and i would have to pay the IRS $375.00 beford I would be able to get the funds.
Step five: I would have to call this scamer IRS person on 202-738-1413 by name of Ryan Fuller. he also had a very thick Indian accent. but i had refused to pay any more money for a loan. I then call back to bancorp.now I was asking for a refund of the money i had put out.The man on phone had told me we do not give refunds,but it will place onto the loan in my account a total of $3466.98.
After going to work a checked my account to see if any funds had been place into my account. sorry to say I have been scam. so do not give any money to anyone with a thick Indian accent. and asked you to place any money on any tpye of card, visa, master ard, green dot,or vanilla card. you do not paid for a loan, you pay it back after you get it.

I had receive this call from America finance. they also gave me the number 210-767-3304 which they said was coming from san Antonio, tx. they were going to Get me get a loan for $5,000.00 dollars. I to had to get a green dot card and send them  $155.00 dollars which I need back!!!!

Protect yourself!
Recognize that NO legitimate company is going to offer you a loan, without their doing some background / credit checks on you, and they WILL generally need a snailmailed, signed contract.

If you or a friend fell for the scam, please try to educate your other friends.  The only way to stop these scams is to cut off their source of money!

Caller with Indian accent keep calling about a loan. But the catch they want me to load $50 on to a card and then get the money back. Just trying to see if this is legit. I have not gave out any of my information. They say that their website is www.nofeewire,com and they are from American Finance Loans

Telling me I am picked for a free government grant bug I have to send 200.0) to register first ..this is a scam they need to be stopped. Thank you..
