I received a call offering me a gov grant and I told them to send me the information via email or mail,
Lady on the phone said ok we will email it to you and hang up, didnt wait for my email address. So I am sure this is a scam

You need to APPLY for a grant - and it is a thief calling - not our government.

Same lady just called saying i qualified for $9000 in grants. She wanted to confirm my zip code so i asked what she had on file and she humg up. SCAM!

Call from lady in D.C. Area about an hour ago on my cell phone no less wanting me to apply for a grant. It's a scam hang up block them and don't give them any info.

She called and I messed with her for about 20 mins.  I knew this was a scam.  I gave no personal information. It taught my 10 year old a few valuable lessons.

Been tired, so laid down after grocery shopping.  As soon as I covered up, got comfy, this call came in on my cell.  I know no one in D. C. So did not answer call.  For the record, I do not give out my cell number to businesses, only close friends and relatives have the number, so knew it was a scammer calling.

Called did not answer, did some closing on house's last summer and my number gets calls ALL THE TIME from spammers. If it is important a voicemail will always be left if not I consider it spam! After reading the other comments it CLEARLY was SPAM--Glad I didn't answer!!!

Received call yesterday at work. Did not answer. Returned call today recording says 360 Training.  Hung up phone.

Unidentifiable caller

The woman barely spoke english, she had to repeat 3 times before I understood that she was saying she was with the US Government and that my name and number was selected to receive $9K in grant money. Told her I needed no money and hung up. Isn't it illegal to say you are with the us government when you aren't?

I received similar call. The scammer said he was calling on behalf of Treasury Dept. and was offering me a $9,000 grant--not a loan. I told him I was surprised government had money to give away to random people LOL!
I hung up and blocked the caller without giving any personal info.

Yes, that is illegal - BUT - these thieves are in India or Pakistan.

Yes, this is a scam call. Block the number if you have that feature on you phone. I just got a call fromt he same # and I couldn't hear the lady very well so I asked, "Who are you calling with?".. she hung up immediately. SCAMMERSSSSSSSSSSSS!

Call came in - obviously a call center atmosphere. Claimed to be from US Federal Grant dept of the treasury. I responded - "No you aren't".  Caller replied "Yes I am".  I hung up.

received call to my cell phone (sounded middle eastern), saying I was eligible for a $9,000 grant. if I would provide a western union routing number or direct deposit, they would move the money. I asked to talk to his supervisor. he asked why and I said I want to verify a scam. he said ok and then hung up.

Caller said I qualified for a $9000 grant. I told her I'd applied for a $20,000 grant and wanted to know why I only qualified for $9000. I then requested her Treasury ID number. She hung up.

A lady just called telling me I am eligible for a grant. They are using some sort of VOIP to mask their origin. It was definitely a scam.

yes this is a SCAM. woman tried to get personal information and when I pressed asking how I got this "grant" without applying, she hung up.
