Did anyone actually follow through with this?? Did anyone receive any money or lose any money??

4/13/16- 10:13am (PST) received a call saying, "We have been trying to reach you. We are from the IRS. We wanted you to know that we are filing a lawsuit Against you. Call us at "202-738-1987" for information in regards to this."

What happens if there's no kind of an answer when they call your number? As far as I know, only a ringing phone will be heard by both parties. That means no fake threats can be delivered on their behalf, which angers these crooks immensely. One other thing, if you're often not answering unknown numbers in any way, I've found many numbers never call again. Your number must have a reputation as one that has no answer, though, and it takes time to get that.

A call came from 2002-738-1987 with the caller ID showing the call was from Washington DC. It was an automated message stating the call was from the IRS and a lawsuit is being filed. It requested a call back to 202-738-1987

Received call fro 202-738-1987 4-15-16 stating they are from IRS and have been trying to reach me regarding a lawsuit they have filed against me. When I called them back it was a man with a foreign accent who said his name was Kevin Jones. I told him i believed it was a scam and hung up.

I just got the exact same message.  Thank GOD its fake.... right?
