This is a scam to get your private info. Claims to be the IRS.

Just got the same robocall with something about IRS filing lawsuit.  I just hung up.

Same call...to of all says last warning that IRS is filing lawsuit.....caller ID says Private Caller.

Looking at the other reports on this number, 202 790-4563, it's a scammer.

Total scam.  Originates in either India or Pakistan.   Block and ignore.   DO NOT RETURN THE CALL!

IRS does not initiate contacts by phone.  US mail only.   IRS does not file lawsuits.   Court action, if any is handled by the DOJ and all parties are entitled to legal assistance if it is a criminal matter.  But--tax disputes are for the most part civil matters.  90% of all IRS tax disputes are settled administratively.  IRS has absolutely no authority to call on local law enforcement for anything. Local law is never involved in IRS tax disputes. IRS does not threaten to involve local law enforcement or to arrest you for nonpayment of federal taxes.  IRS has no powers of arrest.    If LE is necessary, US Marshals do the job.  IRS does not cold call anyone and demand immediate payment of  money.  IRS does not ask for financial information over the phone.   IRS does not accept Green card money paks for payment in any case.  No one is prosecuted for ordinary tax disputes. IRS has absolutely no authority over anyone's professional license. Professional licensing is handled by state governments.  Yes, levies on property to satisfy an existing tax obligation do occur, but only after a very long period of negotiation. And yes, liens are placed on individuals but  usually after a lot of negotiation and a failure to reach a settlement.    All determinations of tax liability are subject to appeals.  All  contacts by the IRS are initiated by US mail.

Caller from this number left a message to call back immediately.  I have had numerous calls & messages from this number and am quite frankly tired of it.  I called back & a male with a foreign accent answers "Internal Revenue Service".  In a very loud voice I said THIS IS NOT THE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE & IF YOU DON'T STOP HARASSING ME I'M GOING TO CALL MR. OBAMA.  He hung up on me.

I got 2 calls from this number in a interval of 20 minutes. Same message IRS is initiating a law suit against us, contact this
number immediately. They are so stupid that they don't even Know how to program their calls.

Don't call back, it's a scam!  The IRS would contact you with a letter.  Plus I know I'm not being sued.

I received my third call this morning at 6:45am. I don't owe anyone . This is the second time they have harassed  me. Last year when it happened I was told IRS sends you a letter.

I have received two phonce calls from this number indicating that they are the IRS and a lawsuit is being filed against me - need to call them immediately.

Message that it was from the IRS.  Did not return call.
