May 3, 2012 - My mother's Tampa Florida home phone was called and woman by the name of Cary Davenport from "Fraud and Worthless" was calling to find me because I had allegedly cashed worthless checks.  She told my Mother that unless I called her a warrant for my arrest would be issued and the police would pick me up.

more  than likely   (  99  %  )   one   of  the   several   "  202"  area  code  fraud  scams   going  around !!!

PLEASE  NOTE !!!   THESE  SCAMMERS  ARE ALSO IMPERSONATING   THE  US  GOV'T /  SEVERAL  GOV'T  OFFICES AND   PERSONS....BEWARE !!!

some  are landlines...many  are  cell phones...some  are  spoofed  and  linked  to  offshore foreign countries !!!!
we've  traced  back  most  of  these  numbers  to  offshore  foreign    call centers  in  INDIA /  THAILAND / AFRICA  /  JAMAICA  ETC....

here's a  few  other  numbers  posted  from  the   same  area  code  offering a  wide  variety  of  scams  /  fake  emails and  scams  after  posting  something  on   craigslist   (  old  scam  )  ...... collecting  for  non  existant  "  payday  loans "....free  money / scam  giveaways /  $1,000's  in  free  gov't  money.........  etc  etc.....stories  change  out  all the  time......and  the  usual  nonsense!!!

**   mysteriously  call to  claim  they  have  several  thousand  of  dollars  to  send  you....just  provide  you  bank  account and  credit  card   right  away   etc etc.........scam scam

several  of  these are  the  usual   long  ongoing  scams   such  as  :  you  have  won a  free  walmart /  bestbuy  gift  card....or  you  have  won a  free  ipad  etc......all  long  ongoing  scams

Caller: " 202" area code fraud scams / texts / calls etc

Guess this is just another number to place on my block list.  About three or four years ago, a friend of mine who seems to have a difficult time paying her bills took out PayDay Loans and some other similar loans.  Apparently the debt has been sold to someone else.  This friend of mine gave out my private cell phone number (yes, I was pissed, but I let it go) to these companies (as part of a reference).   I already told PayDay Loans and some others that if they would have called me in the first time, before giving the loan, I would have told them the truth, in that, she pays hardly anyone back.  I loaned her some money and she has not paid me back.  She fretted about it and I told her to forget about it (but I haven't given her a loan since ....  if and when I give her a little money, it is for her birthday and is a gift).  It has been a long time since I have answered calls that I do not recognize.  I let them go to voicemail and erase them during my "free minutes" time. And, Kyle, they have often threatened to have my friend arrested, taken to court, etc., etc.    These are what are known as tactics to try to put the fear in you.   If they actually had that ability, they would just go ahead and do it.  Taking someone to court would be time consuming and it would cost them money.   They are not going to do that.  While I think people should pay their bills, I believe that they (loan companies such as this and debt-buying companies) are scumbags.  These loan companies charge unreal interest and prey on people who are on disability and are ill, etc., etc.   They operate on the edge of the law,  They should be against the law!

hi i also received a phone all this week that i did not answer. They left a message sayin that her name is tammy hicks and she was calling because i was under investigation for a fraud check. I got really scared because i did not know what this is about she also stated that she wanted me to have an attorney present. i found this site which seems that this number belongs to some scammers

Yes, they are scammers. If you were really being investigated, nobody will call you up to let you know. Why, you might run away!

I received a message today from a Tammy hicks threatening about prosecuting me for a fraudulent check. I called the number back n received her voicemail. I decided to look the number up and it landed me here. Thanks for web sites like this.

they have been calling me for a long time and im sick of it. Im tempted to get my number changed. this Tammy lady just started  calling me. but its been different people i guess they just pass your name along until someone get you.
