Indian called and Said was Department of Grants and Treasury

They called me and didn't say anything so I called back and asked who they were an Indian man said he was Jen calling me from the department of grants and treasury and I have been selected to receive a $9,000 loan

Stated US dept of treasury.  I cut him off.
Scam I am sure

US government does not call you

Called and said I pre-approved for a $5,000 loan.... Scam City!!!! Said I needed to pay $150.00 to show that I would be able to pay for the loan...

202-827-6836...called and told me I won a grant for $9,000.  Asked for personal info from me, and said I would need to pay $150. for a Wal-mart card to receive the $9,000. grant. Total scam...hung up on the woman who was asking me for my info. They didn't know my middle name, and yet it was from the IRS/Federal Government.  Total scam!  Please beware of these calls, and similar phone numbers, coming from the Washington DC area.

a lady called me and told me i won $9200 cuz of my good credit and overall clean history XD what a joke.

Some one called Ellis Smith and said we are calling from tresuary and grants..I received call at 7 pm and she said they were working over time..

Called and said I won a grant for $9200 for paying my bills on time in Texas. I’m not from Texas and I have no affiliation with Texas What’s so ever.

Received a call from this number I answered "Hey Washington how's it going there" "Washington?" an Indian voice said &@*$#&! and hung up. I wanted to share with him we are a government office here in Oregon at a waste water treatment plant we want his business.

I received a million calls from this number saying I was randomly selected to win $9000 from a government grant and I “cooperated” and they said I needed to just go to Walmart and get a google card for $200 then they could give me my money . I said ok and hung up and they called me 27 times in the last two hours harassing me to finish the process pretty much begging me too !! It’s insane these people are horrible !!!

I just received a call from this number, 202-827-6702 on my work phone. I identified myself by name and asked if I could help them. When the woman spoke I asked her to take me off their list and she replied, "why did you ask if you could help me then....BI*CH!" and hung up on my....  It came from Washington, DC.

This Indian woman wanted my: SS Number,Bank,
Routing Number and pay a small fee USA Washington 250.00. This was for a grant.

202-827-5937 called me mutipull times finally i answered. told me that I had been selected to win a $9,000 grant. Asked me if I wanted it sent to my bank, onto a pre-paid visa card, or sent western union or money gram. Told her Money gram. Had a feeling was a total scam from the beginning. Took down the information the lady gave me including the "name" she said which was Carolin Berry. had a hard time understanding her. She spoke very little English and had a very strong Chinese accent.
BEWARE OF THIS NUMBER AND ONES LIKE IT!!!! THIS IS NOTHING BUT A SCAM!!
The government does not call you..

Got a voicemail saying I have an $11,300 grant coming. They left a call back number, no way am I calling backx

They just keep calling and calling and never say anything in the first few seconds. I hang up and they keep calling. Going to block them.

Got about 10 calls today and finally ended up speaking to a person. I told them to stop calling me & an Indian woman kept repeating, "Stop calling me, stop calling me, stop calling me...." I reported to the FTC.

I do not answer unrecognized numbers and the past 2 days I’ve received a VM from (202)827-5197, with the following message...

”“Your free gram to the $11,300 please call us on 202-827-5197 I repeat please call 202-827-5197 to claim your free brand now thank you this is an important message for you from the federal government grants department this is _⁠_⁠_ in from you that you have been approved to get a funding of $11,300 from the government to get your _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ of $11,300 please call us on 202-827-5197 I repeat please call 202-827-5197 to claim your free _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ now thank you…”

I know this is a scam, because grants are only awarded when you apply for them...plus I’ve read that these companies are asking for at least $150 to get these grants...if you receive a grant from the Federal Government, (1) I’m not sure, but I don’t believe they contact you via the phone...they would send you a letter...and (2) it’s a grant, you don’t have to pay for a grant you’ve been awarded...

These people will not stop calling me!  One day they called me 15 times! They call from several different numbers. It seems to be an Indian man and Indian woman taking turns calling. During one calls the man said to me “You are an a$$hole. F@ck off.” Total scam! Pieces of trash! Do not answer calls from this number.

Its that time of the year again with the total scam of Federal Grants from $11,000 to $11,300 dollars.  All you have ot do is heed the robotic calls telling you to call back this number so you are rich.   Gee.  Lucky me.
