Someone from this phone number oh-so charmingly texted me, basically writing "Good Day , I believe this is (insert my name here) ... ?" and they filled in my name accurately.

What they did NOT bother to do was identify themselves. I can't imagine anything ruder than sending someone a text using their name and not identifying themselves in the text. It's stalker behavior. If it's a spammer or phone scammer and I sent back a text "Yes, it's me, who are you", they will know that my # is live with a live name attached, and they will sell it to other spam and scam artists.

Capitalizing the "Good Day", the weird punctuation, and the slightly-off phrasing made me think it was someone for whom English is a second language.

As far as I'm concerned, whoever this rude person is, they can go to hell. I'm blocking them.

Identify yourself next time!

No reason given for tossing you a random "Good Day (excess space)", I take it?

Well, one thing is certain. People would be really ticked-off if that "Good day" actually WAS coming from D.C. ...!
