Called.  I didn't answer.  Left no message.  I see it was from Washington DC.  I wonder if I just missed out on a personal invite to attend the inauguration.  My gut feeling is this is some scammer so I added it to the auto reject list.

some scammer from a supposed organization called "UFIN" called from D.C, told us we owe payments to a local hospital, asked to confirm our SSN, could not give us information about their corporation, actively resisted any questions about UFIN

My husband just received a missed call from this number, as did I a few hours ago. No voice mail left.

Received a call from this number several times. I don't answer and they don't leave a message. Blocked it. Caller ID says Washington, DC.

Called several times and left no message. I called the number back and a woman answered and I said who is this and why do you keep.calling my phone. No answer just silence. Scam!

They called, I answered, they hung up, I called them back, they answered with "Hello, how can I help you", I asked "What company is this?", they said "We're trying to contact 'so-n-so' at this number", I said "you have the wrong number", they said "thank you" and hung up. They wouldn't disclose any info about themselves. I've noticed an increase in calls like this where companies now call and hang up just to get you to call them back. Not sure of the tactics of all this but to me it is shady and bad practice.

Must be an auto dialed call.  When I answered I had to say hello twice before anyone responded.  When they did respond, they asked for someone else.  When I said there wasn't anyone here by that name, the girl hung up on me.

Received a call. Refused to confirm my SSN. When asked what the "important business matter" was he would not say. I feel as if they are doing fake calls from D.C. because of all the Senate Votes. We are more likely to answer calls from DC because of the government.

called me and told me the last 4 digits and my birthday.  asked me to confirm that.  i told them they had the wrong number, they would not identify themselves.
