- KATBIG TIME SCAM!!! These calls are being reported to the US Attorney Generals Office. There is an ongoing investigation dealing with these scam callers. The IRS is not going to reach you by a phone call period. AND if the IRS should contact you it would be in writing . . a certified letter most likely that you'd have to sign for to prove you received the communication. You would not be informed over a ROBOTIC call that there is a federal arrest warrant against you. If that's the case you'd be physically served with a summons at your front door to appear at your local court. ALSO a toll free phone number would be provided. You don't pay for a long distance call to the IRS. This is not standard operating procedure for ANY type of debt owed and is very illegal. There are laws in place that protect the public from such scams. So several major red flags there!!! These people are stupid idiots!
- Caller: IRS SCAM FAKE!!
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- StevoThis is a fake IRS officer scam, threatening to sue you or arrest you for fake unpaid back taxes. The scam call originates from a call center in India using fake spoofed U.S. phone numbers, trying to coerce you into driving to a bank to wire them thousands of dollars. These exact same call centers also try to sell you fake Viagra or try to sell fake car warranty extension services or fake health insurance, again nothing but a scam to steal your money. Their Viagra scam is no longer working, so they are pretending to be Blue Cross health insurance or IRS officers now. These same India scammer call centers also run the 'Microsoft Support' and 'HP Support' scams phoning you to say that your computer has a virus. More than 95% of all North America phone scams originate from crowded phone rooms in India that run multiple scams every day ranging from fake pharmacies to posing as fake IRS officers collecting on 'unpaid back taxes', and the India government knowingly lets these phone scams proliferate. But these scammers are so bad with their English and their acting that you have to be a fool yourself to be tricked by their fake products or services. You can phone these scammers directly on their office numbers at 510-241-6577, 855-849-1201, 877-316-0070, 866-228-3076, 936-250-0447, 606-230-2127, 260-909-8280, 404-474-4911, 647-247-0890, 801-882-2460, 567-244-0061, 530-287-2822, 915-209-8481, 408-459-0479, 210-776-1291, 314-666-9790, 888-533-5887.
