I have gotten 3 calls in the past day from this number. Who uses it?

Just received a call from this number about cutting back tax debt.  Obviously a spam / robo call.

My phone rang with this number twice so far, but it hangs up almost immediately before i even answer.

caller id only says Wash. DC. no message

Several calls today, no message left...

got a call from this number without even mention my name ! about eliminate tax...

These are all robo-dialed numbers. Basically, they don't want you to answer the call...They purposely end the call prior to you answering in the effort for them to get YOU to call them back. Once YOU call them back, the call then becomes solicited and they will add your caller ID (number) to their database as an "opted in" call. Once that happens, your number will be sold/spread across a wide variety of telemarketers.

If you ever get any unsolicited calls from numbers you are not aware of, DO NOT call them back.

Just got a call from 202-888-1444 looked it up on Google and will not call them back due to the comments stating that they would sell my number to a telemarketing base. Remember when we were happy that cell phones didn't do that???

There is an app called voice recorder tell any telemarketer to hold on so u can hit record and let them know AFTER it is turned on that this conversation is being recorded for lawsuit purposes and this is your companies final notice to stop calling, will not work with debt collectors as they have the right to make an attempt for debt collection. However, laws for debt collection vary from each state google to find out may be some benefit in the end.

It was a tax debt reduction related automated call.

Just received this call to my work phone... didn't pick up cause I googled the number.  Left a voice mail, was a robo call with a womans voice that had number prompts to try to lower tax debts.  Apparently if you press 7, you get removed?

 Went all the way to voice mail and left tax relief message.

I keep getting messages as well, but for a different Bernadette, it seems they got my social security number. Someone stole my identity before, and I reported it. From what everyone is saying it's a robo call. That makes me feel better; I've filed a police report about this crap. I hope they get busted soon; I don't owe any money to anyone.

I believe 202-888-1444 phone number belongs to CallerID4U, Inc., which is run by Paul Maduno and Luis Martinez.  They have entered into revenue sharing agreements with telemarketers who make illegal unsolicited telephone calls.  They profit directly from these outbound unsolicited telephone calls.

This appears to be a clear violation of a number of laws, including 16 C.F.R. §310.3(b) of the Federal Telemarketing Sales Rule.

I got a call from this phone number too (shown as "Unknown"), and they quickly disconnected. This is a robo-dialed initiative to get you to call them back. When you do, you have identified your phone number as live and opted in to their b.s. and having your number sold across the country.

If you do not know who is calling you, do not pick up the phone or ring them back!
