They keep calling. I did talk to them once and asked for his name and badge number. He hung up on me. Complete fraud number.  FYI:  If the IRS is calling you they would send you notification before any calls are made.

Number has called several times before but today was the first time they left a voicemail. Caller started speaking before voicemail started recording but claimed to be Officer Peter someone with the Internal Revenue Service and instructed me or my lawyer to return his phone call. Spoke in broken English. I do not appreciate these scammers trying to get over on hardworking people - YOU WILL BE CAUGHT.

Called me several times and left a voicemail but spoke before the recording started. Claims to be an officer of the IRS and says I “better return their phone call”
When I called and asked for a first and last name with badge number the call was disconnected

I just had the same voicemail from “Officer Spark”. Glad that people take the time to post about things like this for other people to have the information that it’s a bs call! Thanks!

Same as the others, he left a voicemail claiming to be Officer Peter S___ (I couldn't understand the last name) from the IRS. You can go to this website to report him. https://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam.shtml

Got a call from ole James while I was in class and they left a voice mail. I called back and asked if i was notified if there was a warrant out for my arrest and I was like "not recently". Then said I hadn't been filling my taxes correctly the past 5 years and said I accumulated a certain amount of money for not correctly filing my taxes. They had me going at first until I was transferred to the superintendent chief officer (lol) and said the only way I wasn't arrested was to make an immediate payment over the phone. I said oh okay I can do that. I baited them for a few minutes with this and then hung up.

If you go to the IRS website they have a post saying they would never do this. Also be sure to report this to your local sheriff's department so they can forward it to an investigator so they can get caught.

    Asshats.
