Have rec'd 2 text today from this number sending me an Uber code. It does say at end of text to reply stop to unsubscribe and has this code at the end of message qG81K-Wod0Mh.  Agter 2nd time sent I replied that I didn't request an Uber in along time and that someone else or the sender must be trying to use my acct

This person sent me multiple Uber codes starting at 10:58 am stating to never share the code then later on changed my Uber login and took $990 out my Uber account which I was supposed to use to pay my car payment tomorrow

The Uber codes came from Uber because someone was trying to change your password.  I'm guessing that you acknowledged one of them and then that is how the password got changed.  Why you would keep money in an unsecured account that does not have insurance or any way to dispute the charge is beyond my comprehension.

The fact is that these texts are LIKELY not even from Uber. They’re fake and people trying to correlate a cell phone number with an email address or get you to reply back somehow to verify the PIN so they can potentially change your password. I received one of these texts too. While they do look official, it would make no sense for someone to trigger these alerts to your cell phone because simply sending a PIN alone to your OWN cell phone number DOES NOTHING. You keeping money (nearly 1k) in an Uber account is just not smart.

They keep sending codes to get me change my Uber account password.

Received a text giving me a 4-digit Uber code. I have never used Uber.

This impersonator guy sent me several  UBER codes....IT IS NEEDED TO STOP HIM ...

We wanted to let you know that your restaurant is currently unavailable to our customers. Please make sure that your iPad is turned on and you are logged into the new breeds app. If you are having issues, please contact our support team. Thanks. "

Text message. Says this is your Uber code. Never share this code. I don't even use Uber. Never have.

Texted me an Uber code and said to never share. Lots of these scams have been happening lately. I don’t use Uber.

I got one of those texts tonight and I have never ever even used an Uber so I know it is a scam. Not used and no account never ever!

Got the text message from this number, with a bogus Uber code (I was not trying to use Uber) and telling me never to share the code.  I replied STOP and got this: "Uber Marketing SMS is now disabled.  Reply STOP ALL to disable all SMS. Reply START to enable all SMS."

Received a text stating it was a private Uber code number and to never give it out. I have NEVER used or even inquired about Uber. Their waste of time.

some dumbass sending a text about a Uber code, I DO NOT have a Uber account and NEVER will.

got several texts from this phone #, saying my order from a restaurant has set up a delivery through uber. but i ordered from the restaurant's website. and i got three different messages saying the driver is on the way, hours after it was delivered. of course it all began with a text that included an "uber code" and link i'm not supposed to share. finally, i got a text saying order was delivered. and about 15 mins. later another text say my order is arriving now. the scary thing is, the texts mention that restaurant by name, and the address. and i did order from them.

Legitimate texts. Uber notifications for codes or delivery status, like food, courier service, etc.
