- stay classy... replies to Ummyeah| 1 reply...you work at a debt collection agency, it's not a coincidence that you get treated like the scum of the earth.
- PEACEMAKERIf comcast wants to use this type of service for customers who have been with them over the years, let them. As for me I going to the Dish
- me replies to employee of easyou know if you were employee like you all say on here you wouldnt be so rude to people!
- Oaklyn, NJ| 1 replyYeah these folks are legitimate but:
1. They DO, I repeat DO, call after 8:00 p.m.
2. It is ridiculous for them to call when the bill is not 30 days past due. I start getting these calls the day after my new bill is issued. I'm like 2 weeks behind due to the way my paydays are set up. It would seem to me that my cable bill would be lower if they didn't hire a company to start harassing me the day my bill becomes 1 day late. I intend to complain to Comcast about this.- Caller: Eastern Account Systems

- Rob Ellison replies to employee of easNice "professional" way of posting that comment jerk, er, I mean "employee of eas"!
- Ken ShafferI called Comcast the other day at their main number (not to those who are collection agencies) and heard a recording saying that my account is past due by around $130.00 or so. Interesting to point out that I received my cable bill only a few days ago for the same exact amount that I heard on the recording AND THE DUE DATE IS NOT UNTIL A WEEK FROM NOW!!! Only goes to show you how consistently inaccurate Comcast continues to be!!!

- Ken ShafferForgot to mention in my previous post that my bill has been consistently WRONG since I first signed up with their Triple Play service. They made claims for my service that they did not honor such as free installation (they charged me three times for "installation" and all three amounts were different -- after lots of complaining they finally removed those charge), they claimed a FREE DVR cable box and started charging me for the box two months into my subscription, they don't READ (or have anyone who can read) my many letters that I sent to them, and other things that I don't have time to elaborate on. It's no wonder that a couple of years ago they were IN FACT rated as THE WORST business in the entire country when it comes to providing acceptable customer service. And they haven't gotten much better since. Example: A friend of mine in another town was considering Comcast and one or two of the Dish satellite services in our area. He decided to go with one of the Dish satellite services and notified Comcast that they are NOT to send out their ground crew to install the cable from across the street, over the road, down to his property and dig up his front yard a bit to hide the cable from view into his house. Over a week later after cancelling the appointment with Comcast, he was woken up one morning by the sounds of Comcast digging in his front yard! No knock on the door to notify him out of simple courtesy, just started digging. Since the service was cancelled to begin with they were considered trespassing on private property and may be officially charged. Just one of MANY horror stories thanks to Comcast. I notified Comcast in writing a little over 30 days ago (yes, they did receive my notice in the mail) that my account will be cancelled after April 2010. I'm sure they will continue my service anyway and attempt to collect for something that I most defintely do NOT want.

- Dan| 1 replyWell, I just got a call on my mobile (a number which I have had for 11 years) where the message claimed to be from Comcast. Interestingly, I have never been a ComCast customer!
- red replies to employee of easHere are your facts straight my bill was due on 6-15-10 was paid on 6 -22-10 via online just after midnight, I had an operation and wasnt able to get over to computer. I just got a call from 203-270-2439 , so are you saying that 40 days have past from the 15 to 22nd in the same month and on late bill says pay by 25th, and today is the 23rd of June. Yes takes time to process payment up to 72 hrs, even still that would not fall in your timeframe stated of 40 days.So why is you company calling me is what I will be asking cable. This is a scam to put fear in people to pay your company a finders fee of payment and stating enjoy no cable to others is not your companies choice that is up to the cable provider. Very poor business practice is what I see here with your company, and dont tell me to pay my bill on time and wont get a call from you, I wasnt able to get out of bed yet doctors orders.
- UNKNOWN replies to Drakewhat you dont know is if you pay your comcast account online after your service has ended you're payment is not applied to your account therefore making your account unpaid and it does go to collections
- Johnthis # has called every day for 1 wk. They leave a message I should call back!
- scumbag replies to stay classy...if that person is a debt collector and a scumbag and they are calling you because u have not paid your bill what does that tell u about yourself?
- SharonThey did not leave a message, so I called them back. Was on hold for about 2 mins. and when they picked up identified themselves as Comcast. Said payment was past due, which it was since we had been out of town. Told her we paid it, which we did, by mail, and she said she would make note of it. Very polite and personable lady.

- spartacusIts really not that big of a deal. I just looked the number up ahead of time because I didn't recognize the number and it didn't come up as Comcast. With all the scams out there, I wanted to know what I was dealing with before I got on the phone. I pay my bills, but sometimes because of the economy right now, I run a couple of weeks behind if there have been crazy emergencies going on. They are basically just a hired firm to give courtesy calls to let the customer know that they are running behind. They aren't shutting off your cable or anything and they were not mean at all. Very nice people. I let them know when I usually pay, I have never run into an issue before with paying by that time. She told me that wasn't a problem at all and instead of paying that $4 over the phone charge when I make my visa payments, she said, if I call before 3, they will process it free of charge and it will be applied immediately. She was very nice and told me she would put that out there to try and help me save a little bit of money. Can't beat that. $4 is $4. This site made me more nervous than I needed to be...LOL.

- Mea CulpaOk, ok, I know I forgot to pay Comcast, but it would be nice if when I DO answer the phone, a person would be on the other end. Everytime I get a call from this number, I just get a ring tone and then nothing. How am I supposed to know this means I missed my payment if no one is there to tell me?
- they just called me| 1 replyi logged into my comcast account... i have automatic payment set up... hmmmmmmmmm....???
