I did not answer because it was an out of state (Alabama) number, it went to voicemail.  Voicemail reads " This is an important call.  We are notifying you that an official complaint has been logged against your name and social security number.  It is important that you return our call."  Well that's weird ...#1 they never referred to me by my name, #2 They did not leave a return phone number for me to call, #3 They did not identify themselves, #4 CAN YOU SAY SCAM

Got a call from the same number and voice message today. It is definitely a scam.

I answered this call to  may cell phone. It was a recording that said: This is a call to inform you that a formal complaint has been made against your name and SSN. I hung up. I received the same recording and voice a few weeks later from TN (423) 412-6127. It may be a ring of folks now through several states to scam personal information.

Or, they are simply spoofing numbers from different states.

I received the same message in California area code 805-208-8315,  same message as you guys.
I looked up the number and this is all I could find

I am on the Do Not Call list I don't know how these fools find my number but I get a call from this 805 number, from the same guy, at least once a day, with almost the exact message
