Called early in the AM and said the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me. They're not.

Received a call at 8:40am stating that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me.  Not true.  SCAM

got this call saying the IRS filing lawsuit against me and this is final notice early morning call

Just rec'd call from 206-331-6389 saying IRS filing lawsuit against me.  Call came in at 9am.  It is a scam for sure.  Do people really fall for this.

Received the same call. Seattle based number, full of BS. jerks....

a message on answering machine saying IRS was suing us.  IRS does not call you, sends mail by USPO, certified!!!

Same experience as other commenters here. They left voicemail and I returned it because I was expecting a call from Washington State. (My elderly dad lives there.) The the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. I told female representative  to call my CPA and that the IRS doesn't call, as I do deal with them from time to time.  What surprised me was the caller became belligerent and aggressive and insisted they were the IRS and that if I did not believe it to hang up and watch what happened to me.

Same as other post IRS, 206-331-6389 , getting ready to file law suit.  Really dislike this kind of stuff.  Your right they would send mail, not phone call.  Feel sorry for older people that get caught in this.

Received a call from this number alleging they are with the IRS.  Typical scam. Noticed the slight hint of an accent.  Showed up as a cell phone from WA.  Followed up by another caller (909-809-5889) saying they were an officer of the IRS.  Heavy accented voice.  Neither identified us by name.  SCAM.
