- LH206-462-1798 called and left no message; not sure what it's all about
- GabbyCalled my cell but I don't answer numbers I don't recognize. Did a reverse look up, but that didn't help.
- sppsI call today in my cell and hang up
- I have the answerCell companies pass this feature around. They take turns using it in order to generate more money for their company. Personally, I spent about .50cents researching and calling back this number. Take my .50cents and add that to approximately 10 million other customers that is an easy $5 Million for that company.
In my case, the company is T-Mobile and overall they have approximately 28 millions customers total.
The scam with this number is the same one used by AT&T to get their customers, who do not pay the monthly fee for caller ID, to use the *69 button feature and it is an easy tens of millions for them.- Call type: Unwanted
- I agreeYES, I AGREE
I was in the same room with my sister. We both have T-Mobile. My phone rang with this number and I called it back. Then 10 minutes later my sisters phone rang with the very same number! Obviously this was sent out by T-Mobile and i wish someone in authority would prosecute these phone companies. - AnnThis is some spanish recorded telemarketing call.
- JANI had this missed called on my phone. I have had it before and it is someone speaking a foriegn language. I AM ON A NO CALL LIST SO I DON'T GET HOW THIS CAME TO ME!
- JesI have SPRINT not T-Mobile or AT&T like everyone else... got a call on my cell just now; did not answer as I didn't recognize the number. Did a reverse look-up and it is a another CELL number based out of Seattle, WA.
I agree- this is a scam. First, I would NEVER put my cell number on anything public (no applications or anything) so I know it isn't on some list being sold over and over to multiple companies. I have had this particular number for well over 5 years and I rarely get any strange calls like this, so its not a new number that was already on their list.- Caller: ? they don't say it in English
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Linda replies to rsI believe this is a detective agency way of getting tracking or some info on the user. When you pick up or call back they can locate you. What else can this elaborate use be for other than a scam or for an agencies use? i was called on april 1
- charliethese knob slobbers called me in spanish talking about if i press 1 i win $1000. YEAH RIGHT!!
- Irritated in Washington (the state)Received a call on my cell phone, answered to hear a recorded message of a woman speaking Spanish. I called it back, got another recorded message, this time in English, saying that it was travel related and they will call me back. I pushed 1 to be removed from their call list, but then it asked me to enter my phone number, which they clearly already have so I hung up.
I suspect that if you enter your number in then they will have some grounds to say that they have done business with you and are free to call you even if you are on the DNC list. I am filing a complaint with the FCC, that is probably the best thing for anyone to do if the number this company called is on the DNC list.- Call type: Telemarketer
- SeXyMaN21This # called me in school. I looked up the number on google and it said they were a private investigator.
- danoffering a gift beware do not press any number they ask you for.
- Ontario| 1 replyI got a call from this number with an automated voice saying "Thank you for being a Roger's customer. We'd like to give you a gift. Press 'One' now".
I hung up and called Rogers and they have no idea what this is -- there's no promotion going on -- be careful! I asked Roger's how they would know that I'm a Roger's customer and she couldn't give me an answer, but "assured" me that all my info was confidential...yikes.- Caller: Unknown
- quebec replies to Ontariothat's reassuring.. NOT! i'm also a rogers customer & i got a call from this same nbr. i missed it tho' & they left no msg.
- CyborggoddThey're back.
This time posing as Rogers, blessing me with a gift.
"Just press 1 to accept".
Yeah. Bite me. - MastersimGot the same call.. i located it! Look this link. Called from Seatle.
http://www.phonedetective.com/PD.aspx?_act=preview&_pho=2064621798- Caller: Rogers
- SCAMscamSCAMscamautomated dialer, "because you are a preferred rogers customer, you have been selected for a prize, press 1 to accept". Press 1... agent answers, calling from "Cancun" (the company name she provided) wants to verify you're over 25. Won't answer any questions, transfers to a "Holiday Specialist" to provide answers.
Holiday Specialist "Laura" from "Cancun Calling" comes on the line, won't provide company information just says it's "Cancun Calling" in Cancun Mexico and there is no mailing address. Won't describe the building she's working in, apparently there's no address and she does not know where she works.
Have received several calls from "Cancun Calling" in the past, always the same crap... the "because you're a preferred customer of ______" changes, just something new to make you think they know you. Full on scam, just looking to get your credit card so they can over charge you for a fake free vacation.- Caller: Cancun Calling - SCAM
- Call type: Telemarketer
- BurningRedI got the same Rogers call. What they do is call every number in blocks assigned to Rogers, that is the only way they know you are a "Rogers" customer. I have seen the same scam on my landline phone as well.
