- Baron replies to CWG40| 2 repliesLet people vent when they need to. Its frustrating getting calls from scammers like this and it should fall to us to invest time into blocking their calls. Instead, the pathetic urchins that do this crap should quit their sleazy profession and do something useful to society. So don't post here and blame any of the people who want to notify others of these crap calls...makes us suspicious you may be one of those scammers screening these boards...
- PBReceived a voice message indicating this is a final call IRS initiating lawfuit for unpaid taxes, interest fees, etc in the amount of $1,250 for tax years 2011, 12 and 13. I called this number and adamantly told this Induan accented ass that I never received anything from IRS regarding same and to stop lying to me. I told him to send me the written documentation, I told him I would go directly to an IRS office to see what was going on. The phone was then disconnected. I tried calling back numerous times to really give it to him but the chicken doesn't answer.

- ManBearPigMessage left on my answering machine was a computer-synthesized voice claiming to be from the IRS stating that this was my final warning before they filed lawsuit. I do not have caller ID at home but this was the # they said I had to contact to discuss. For the record, I did not call; Mrs. ManBearPig and I had a good laugh over our evening adult beverage.
On a serious note, I encourage people to document this company's calls. Even though this is not an official website, should the honest-to-God IRS take action against these telescammers for impersonating them, this would be good supporting evidence to show how wide-spread their reach was. (disclosure - I am not an attorney nor do I play one on TV)- Caller: IRS [Yeah. Right. The IRS]

- CWG40 replies to BaronNot blaming anyone . Just notifying the person posting that no one here is scamming them. The people at fault are the people making these scamming calls in the first place.

IRS does not file lawsuits. Court action, if any is handled by the DOJ and all parties are entitled to legal assistance if it is a criminal matter. But--tax disputes are for the most part civil matters. 90% of all IRS tax disputes are settled administratively. IRS has absolutely no authority to call on local law enforcement for anything. Local law is never involved in IRS tax disputes. IRS has no powers of arrest. If LE is necessary, US Marshals do the job. IRS does not cold call anyone and ask for money. IRS does not accept Green card money paks for payment in any case. No one is prosecuted for ordinary tax disputes. IRS has absolutely no authority over anyone's professional license. Professional licensing is handled by state governments. Yes, levies on property to satisfy an existing tax obligation do occur, but only after a very long period of negotiation. And yes, liens are placed on individuals but usually after a lot of negotiation and a failure to reach a settlement. All determinations of tax liability are subject to appeals. All contacts by the IRS are initiated by US mail. - CWG40 replies to gioThey are hard core Indian or Pakistani scammer/extortionists. As such they are beyond the reach of US law. The local governments do little if anything to stop them.
- Leon| 3 repliesArea Code 206 is WITHIN the USA. Washington State is good enough for this post.
So WHY does the government PERMIT these people to operate. One of the advantages of living in the National Security Police State SHOULD be that these kinds of VERMIN are locked up somewhere forever. And the guys who are getting wealthy with this scam should have ALL their wealth taken and their famly IMPOVERISHED.- Caller: IRS (not)

The call was from a VOIP phone number.
People do not need to show their IDs to get a VOIP number.

- SandiI received a call at 11.07am Sunday morning 28th March 2015, and again Monday evening 7.05pm, informing me that I was going to be sued by the IRS. My caller ID on Sunday said PAYPHONE, with this number 607 527 8800 , & Monday my ID said it was a private caller, so I decided not to answer it. The automated message sounds pretty official .. My initial reaction was panic .. Why was I being sued by the IRS .. I have NEVER received any mail from the IRS. I was on the verge of calling the number to find out what was going on when I realized that if the IRS was calling to inform me of a lawsuit, they would have addressed me by name, & I also began to realize that under no circumstances would the IRS be calling me, on a SUNDAY...Major SCAM !!!

- Mel replies to perryThese same jackwagons have called me before - I had a great conversation with the "IRS" dude from India. He was persistent but got very frustrated. By the time it was done, he was pissed and hung up on me. I had a lot of fun. Called him from the local hospital lobby phone. Don't get angry, just have some fun with these dick weeds. It's a free call. Still makes me smile. I can't believe people are as stupid as these guys. But obviously they must scam some becasue they don't stop.

- William K.| 2 repliesI received a call from this number 818-239-1445 threatening that this was a final call from the IRS and that we better call 206-462-5425. I know that I owe nothing to the IRS so I became suspicious of this call. I have no clue of who, why, or what they are attempting to accomplish. I do know this, it needs to be investigated, it could be a scam. Other than IRS no other name or company was given.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. - CWG40 replies to AnnieMNo one is allowing anyone to scam. The scammers are hard core Indian and Pakistani scammer/extortionists and as such beyond the reach of US law. They spoof local CIDs and phone numbers. Call blocker might be of some help to you.
