Called me sever times untill I blocked it. Seems a faked number

This number called me at 2:02 PM on 8-11-10.  I didn't answer and they didn't leave a vm.  Who are these people-does anyone know?

Just got a call from this number and when I picked up I heard a beep like it was being recorded and then the call was disconnected or hung up.

I get two calls a day from this number but no one answers when I say hello.  What is the point of these irritating, ridiculous calls?

Well.  I answered.  It was Megan fox.  She was looking for a date.  I said yes.  Suckers!!!!  

No.  Not really.  Same thing.  No one answered.

Same thing- several calls per day and no message. Wouldn't shock me if it was the Seattle Times circulation department, as we recently said "yes" to receiving the paper for free.

I received a call from 206-652-6587 on my cell phone at 4:30 pm, and they said they were from the Seattle Times, a newspaper I subscribe to. I said I only accept personal calls on my cell phone and to delete this number from their list. They said they are not trying to sell me anything and said they only want permission to include a once a week coupon booklet with my newspaper. I repeated to take me off their call list and that I only take personal calls at this line. He said he would not. I hung up and called the Times subscriber customer service line and reported this phone number to them. I told them this guy wanted to give me coupon books with my newspaper and I found that very strange, because the daily newspaper has many ads and circulars included with it and no one has ever needed to ask my permission for this before. I said I wanted my cell phone number removed from their call list and they said they would do this. They were very, very apologetic. I am very close to dropping my subscription anyway because I get so much of my news online these days, and this sort of customer relations error almost cost them a subscriber. They are quite desperate to maintain their subscription numbers, so I highly recommend calling the newspaper if you are bothered by calls like this. Received a call at 6:10 PM no message on 08/23/2010

This phone number called my cell 3x...first 2x I missed the call, but they didn't leave a message.  They just called and same thing as the posted message above.  I asked where they got my phone # as I only give it to friends & family...told them not to call and take me of their list.  He said you're not on a list...I said don't call me again and he continued to talk so I hung up.  He did identify himself as someone from the Seattle Times but wasn't selling anything.

The calls to my wife's cell phone from this number are computerized "Savings Source" calls for coupons that she did NOT agree to nor solicit information from.  I thought this crap was illegal.  I'm going to report this number to the National Do Not Call Register and anyone else who will listen and try to do something about it.

Received a call at 1:06pm from this # just as everyone states above - left no message.  If I keep getting calls I will do what Meg did above and call The Times customer service line.

missed call on my cell phone @ 8pm 9/12 but no message. I have a sunday subscription to seattle times.

I don't like to answer my phone to #s I don't know unless I'm expecting a call. Found this website to figure out what this number is since they never leave a message.

I received a call from this number on 10/26/2010 at 11:53 AM.  I do NOT have subscription from Seattle Times.  I am blocking this number.

Of course, my fiancé read the posts and he is sad that I might be potentially blocking  Megan Fox, but why is she calling me?
