Rings but leaves no message.  Heavy scam area and suspect this is another one

Rang without leaving a message. Called with a fraudulent identifier, "Washington State Verified Caller." I googeld the number and the top search from google says it's a legitimate debt collector (!!!). I can tell you with total assurance no such group would be legitimately calling us. It's definitely a scam, including the top search link, i.e. seemingly from google - who should be taking it down, and I would tell them, but there's no way of emailing their people about it.

Which your phone company put up and not the caller.

Using both Yahoo and Google I saw nothing that said "it's a legitimate debt collector".

Since there are many reason a DC might call you that would be legitimate you cannot say that with certainty.

You can't say that with certainty because you did not answer the call.  Google only shows results based on search words that fit into their algorithm so I doubt that they would remove that even if you did tell them.
