I just received a call from this number.  I noticed 2 things right off.  It was an auto/robo dial because it didn't say any personal information about me.  Second, it claimed to be an IRS agent, but it was clearly a computer generated voice.

The call claimed to be "Agent Brandon Billings from IRS", those exact words.  It stated in broken english that a lawsuit was filed against me for tax fraud and that I needed to call him back at 2068665784.

This is clearly a IRS tax scam.

Sometimes I wish these foreign 3rd world scammers would call, say they're the IRS and that they're Agents Mulder & Scully. Would be way more fun to get a few laughs with the total BS.

He called me as well, making all kinds of sexual remarks.  freaking crazy!

Got this call at 0756 this morning.  Kind of early in the day; maybe he thought my brain would be asleep at that hour?  Really coundn't understand much of what he said other than that he was IRS.  As someone who has been advised that my personal info was accessed in two different data breaches recently, kind of wondered if this was related.  Looks as if it's just another generalized scam!  Thanks for all of the reports.

I have LifeLock security and if they were doing something with my SS#s I'm sure they will let us know or we would received a special documented letter directly from IRS.

I got the same msg as Brad and called back. I was told I was talking to Eric Thompson who gave me a badge number. I told him I needed to verify he worked for the IRS. He quickly said I would be arrested if I took the time to check but he hung up. I immediately called back asked for the correct spelling because his name couldn't be found in the IRS network. He hung up. I called back and he answered 'IRS office', but when I explained that we had been disconnected, he hung up again. I called back again a couple of times and only got a busy signal. It was the same voice each time. I think I will keep calling.

I have gotten two messages from Brandon today, same as you.

I will definitely be reporting this to the irs.

Do not answer or call this # back. They have a automatic voice message saying they are IRS and that you are being audited. I didn't give them any info. But they knew I knew they were a scam. I hung up and they proceed to call back with sexual comments.

Voice mail, didn't ask for me by name, sounded computer generated. Officer Brandon Billings from the IRS! I knew right away it was a scam! They try to scare you into calling them, then ask for personal information! Jerks!

Yes, I received this message from "Officer Billings" say I am being sued for tax fraud,. Crazy world.

I just got a message on my answering machine about an hour ago..206-966-5784 from an officer Brandon Billings from the IRS that I have committed tax fraud and I needed to call him back ASAP....LOL.  Our local television station has warned people about this scam being played out across the USA.  They said that the IRS will not call and threaten you and the call would not come from Washington State...The FBI is trying to pin them down.  Whatever you do, do not give them any of your personal information as they are trying to scam you for money and your personal information.  This was a computer generated voice.  I just let my answering machine pick up, as the caller ID said Bainbridge, WA and I didn't recognize the number.  Scammers, nice try!

yep got the same call. officer brandon billings with the irs. tax fraud the whole nine yards. so stupid!!  called the number just to see wwhat it says and it tells you to leave a message.(british accent mind you) yeah all us people speak w/ british accents especially the irs!!!  LOL
