Owner of this phone number claims to be selling a new BMW R1200 GS for $6,000. (About 1/2 of actual value) His purported name is John Ligonis and he claims to be in Italy. See following email.

    Hello,

The bike is still for sale. Never had any mechanical problems. I must
tell you that I had to move to Italy , Rome one month ago with my work
and I took the bike with me hoping to drive it here as well. I work in
Public relations department at a hotel here and because of this job I
change my home quite often. Here I had an unpleasant surprise because
the bike is an US model and to pay the registration here in Europe, to
pass all the emissions and standards  and many other would be quite
expensive and nobody would do it. I have tried to sell it locally but it
was not successfully. That is why I am trying to sell the bike back in
USA , there will be no further problems because the bike passes US
emissions standards and DOT & EPA as long as it has been purchased in US
    space.
If interested please reply asap. Shipping takes 8-10 days.
    Thank you for your time.

Same exact thing as above other than now the new number he is using is: +393286423905.  I found this on cycle trader and sent a quick email questioning about the bike.  "John" has a aol address which says it is owned by a person in California.

He emailed me about a boat he has for sale. I knew it was too good to be true because it is a $40,000 boat. Here is his email......

Hi, I'm glad that you're interested in my boat. The boat is in good condition, has no technical damages at all, no scratches or dents,no hidden defects. It has a clear and clean title signed and all you have to do is to put your name on it.I want to mention that I am now located in Italy, Rome my wife is from here and I have the boat with me. Here I had an unpleasant surprise because the boat is an US model and i have to pay the registration here in Europe, to pass all the emissions and standards and many other would be quite expensive and nobody would do it. I have tried to sell it locally but it was not successfully. That is why I am trying to sell it back in states.I can deliver the boat to your address and I will agree to let you test it and inspect it for a few days just to be sure. I am going to use a shipping company to deliver it and you will pay the shipping and insurance fees. I want to use this company because I used it to bring the boat here and they had a excellent service, it came with absolutely no damage or scratches. It should take about 8-10 days to get the boat delivered. If interested please reply asap.Thank you for your time. Respectfully, P.S. I have attached more pictures with my bike

Same thing but with the atv.  What made me doubt the deal was the 8-10 days to deliver the atv by ocean freight??  This can only happen by air freight.  Scam, wish there was a way to report this as fraud.  If its too good to be true.....

P.S.- regarding above response from anhoster@yahoo.com- Person was advertising a mint looking 2008 Suzuki Hayabusa for $5,000 at Cycletrader.com  Price and condition of bike were too good to be true, so I inquired further and received the above response.
