Calls from 208 398-4999 at least once a day; quite often morning and after 8:00pm. Initially, I answered the call but no one is ever on the phone.  My caller id shows caller name as "VAF"; I don't answer the calls anymore - I want to let them know I am on the Do Not Call registry.

Called at 2028 I answered phone and no one was there.  This is like the 3rd time today.  Wish they would stop

They call often. What's the point of them continuing to call if I keep hanging up?
On the last call I was frustrated and repeated, "Who's calling?" She got flustered, but would not say. She just continued saying "Is this ...?" And I would cut her off and say, "Who's calling?"
She said, "Are you gonna ...?"
And I interrupted, "Who's calling?"
Finally I said, "I PAY FOR THIS PHONE LINE! I ASK THE QUESTIONS!"
She spoke over me saying, "I'll call back later," and hung up.
Yeesh!

I get the call daily, but I never answer... and get the recording on my voicemail  "Hello. This is a service verification. We will call you back later."

Either they are verifying the number as valid, in order to sell it to others... OR  they are verifying the person at the number for a debt collection company.

getting phone calls and no message.  Want it to stop

They may indeed be verifiying that it is a valid number. I am quite sure we are not on any debt collectors' lists so I doubt that is what they are doing.
