Company called claiming to be following up on a mailing sent regarding locking in natural gas price rates. No such mailing was received. Representative on the line started out polite, but quickly became frustrated and short-tempered when informed that I would not negotiate utility rates with anyone but PG&E. Refused to take no for an answer, so I said have a nice day and hung up on them. High pressure, untrustworthy sales pitch from a cold call. Don't pick up.

Different areas in the SF Bay have 3rd party entities that buy access to the PG&E infrastructure...gas lines and electrical lines. They buy up energy from PG&E and resell it to the customers. Customers have recently been mailed alerting them that all customers have been automatically opted in to receive energy from these 3rd parties. PG&E has big problems right now...because of the fires in California. They are likely to go bankrupt. Just the usual shell game by corporate elite and their stockholders to slink away without being burned while passing the costs along to all of the customers. PG&E executives and stockholders got rich and now they will abscond with all that wealth leaving the customers to pay for all of their negligence! I don't know if PG&E was actually the cause of those fires! It could have been terrorists or homeless people's camp fires or some careless smoker tossed his cigarette out of the car window in a drought stricken area....how are they going to find a way to reimburse all those who lost their homes...their lives? Many had insurance but the insurance companies aren't going to actually pay for all of those destroyed homes. The homeless are sure not going to do it and neither are terrorists or careless smokers. And they sure aren't going to blame the Governor or the other liberal tree-hugger politicians in California for preventing loggers from thinning out the trees and the brush. Trees are great...until they burn! And the libtard politicians sure didn't build any badly needed extra dams to compensate for the historical cyclical droughts that California has always had. And, you can't blame global warming on it...blame the politicians. Californians are getting screwed big time by the corrupt politicians, the insurance companies, and monolithic and monopolizing businesses!
