someone answered by didnt say a word; 3x they called me & didnt say anything

I got one 2, they left no message!

Called me and said he was from microsoft and I had a computer error they try to get information from you just tell them to get lost

They called. I didn't answer. I never answer calls I don't recognize. You shouldn't either. If they are a *real*, legitimate, genuine caller, they will leave you a voice mail and you can call back, or not, as, when and if you see fit.

Last week I got a call from this number and realized it was a scam as soon as I heard several Indian guys laughing in the background, So, I decided to scream in their ear to be equally as annoying, they actually said you don't have to f---n scream lady . I looked up the number confirmed it was a scam and thought they'll never bother me again. Just got another call and screamed again. Maybe they'll realize they have the wrong number. Have to admit it felt good.

they are trying this scam now in Canada. After I said that I was not going to do anything they said that if I didn't work with them my computer would be locked up. I asked them to give me a number that I could reach their supervisor. They hung up.

I reeived 2 calls after midnight...just dead air.  These twits should get a life & a jjob!

I received a call from a caller identifying themselves as a person calling from Microsoft. Since I was a certificate owner they called to me that there was a virus on my computer. The person on the phone wanted me to go and turn on the computer and they were going to have me follow their directions to remove the viruses'.

In my case they used a false North American sounding name and their accent was definitely from another country. In the background other voices were also taking calls or pretending to take calls using the fake Microsoft agent disguise. All the voices were of similar or close non-North American accents. The call display showed the number 212-777-3450 as being from New York.

I asked them to describe all the steps for me to follow. They did tell me 5 steps, (which I did not follow), and when I asked them why they wanted to obtain full access to my computer, he laughed and said that, “They can easily do this to us Canadians since we are so easy. We will not be able to stop them, so I can go and tell whoever I want about this number there is nothing I can do about it!"

With the first few instructions these people will gain access to your entire computer system allowing them to get all your private information such as contact from emails and phone listings, any saved passwords for banking, websites, games or other programs you frequent.

1. This person may steal your identity and/or fraudulently obtain credit accounts, loans, etc.  
2. They can install programs onto your computer to conduct other illegal activities using your computers
   ID and your internet services.    
3. There is a chance you may end up losing money, loss of your credit rating, or potential legal costs.
4. They can uninstall programs that are actually protecting your computer from malicious programs or virus'.
5. It is possible for them to set up internet connections between stolen computer services from this
   country to other countries to establish a group of 'controlled computers' to build an illegal network.
6. This person may be collecting your information or internet services to sell to others for profit, as a single unit or in a batch.
7. Any other purpose they may wish since they now have access to your programs and web services.
This is not a compressive list just some things to BE-Aware of.

We need to communicate together and educate those we can to help prevent all sorts of internet, phone, scams against our communities. Knowledge is power so send a reminder through the local papers and other media to remind people to be alert, careful and STOP and ask someone you trust if you are unsure of someone representing themselves asking you to do something for them or asking you for something.

Called me at 1am ... it was an open line and then I heard a woman's voice "robotic" saying "goodbye" .. Lucky these goofs hung up after calling my house at 1am with four children sleeping. I was ready to start chewing somebody's behind out!!! Not impressed, but haven't called since?

Called me feb 27 at 1130 in winnipeg . Its a scam !!!!!

Call me at 11h35 et no body speek....

Got a call at 1:08am but never answered it. The # is now blocked!

I just had one at 11:15 pm
Again, dead air and then an automated voice said goodbye and disconnected
So annoying.  

Called me in halifax ns at 12:45am. Dead air followed by an automated goodbye. Stupid f****rs!

Got a call today from this number at 12:48 am... They even knew my name!!!! The number is 212-777-3450... Be careful!

Got a call from them at 12:20am, scared me, my first thought is something happened to someone. The man said he was Eric (yet indian) and was calling about my computer, I knew right away this was a scam and I lost it on the guy. I called the number back from my call display and got a voicemail that sounded residential.  Thing is we almost never use our home phone, so we give our cell numbers when its required so where the hell did they even get the number from?

At 2 o'clock in the morning, they called my 81 years old mother.  No one was talking at the other end.

Called never answer then they said good buy...
