Got that same phone call, the guy spoke in english (I speak french) and said "I am calling about your computer" and I supposed he was trying to hack me or something so I said "My computer is fine **** you" and hung up. I tried to call back to know who it was but I heard a kind of old internet connection sound for a bit and it sounded occupied.

According to my research this is a call from New York city, but I live in Senneterre, a town in Québec, Canada... Seems legit >.>

Foul mouthed, cussing, belligerent [***] that will cuss you out worse than any sailor on the planet when you tell them you are a computer tech for 16 years and not falling for their scam. Also, get many "UNKNOWN CALLER" calls before and after these calls come in that just hang up; each day they call. Can't be a coincidence.

Need an extra category below; this is not a telemarketer, it is not a prank. From what I have read about it is a flat out hacking scam to gain access into your computer, get all the credit card info, passwords, etc they can from it, then hold it "hostage" for a fake anti-virus subscription to unlock it.

I got a call from an Indian sounding guy with a horrible accent who said he was from the Window's Technical Department. I stopped him there and wished him a good day and hung up.

Indian who said he was from windows technical support.   I asked where he was calling from and he repeated the windows technical support line.   So I repeated asking him what city he was calling from and he said NYC.   I said, no, you sound indian, are you indian?   And he said no.  So I asked him what his nationality was and fumbled around about lots of nationalities and then said he was from India.  To which I asked him if he was so stupid that he didn't even know where he was from?   He asked if I was.  And I said, well I'm certainly not stupid enough to fall for your scam.  And he said "I'm not here to get your money, I'm here to crash your computer" and then he hung up on me.  :-)

Got a call from this number and when I answered, no one there, knowing it was a scam, i pushed the # button about 10 times
real fast and hung up. About 10 sec's later he called back and did the same thing to me. I guess to let me know he knew what
I did. Who cares. That's what they're going to get from me from now on. Maybe they'll leave me alone knowing what they will
get. No answer, they get the buzz. I've been getting a lot from them lately, different cities. Fed up.

I'm getting these calls about 3 times a week.  But, it's now a blocked call and only rings once.  Be careful on this one as well as the 304-743-8823 # (Microsoft) scam.  A dear friend's fella got hacked after he was led on that he was late on a bill and needed to pay it online.

Another "Microsoft Technical Department" scam caller. I just hung up on him and put the number on my blocked caller list. I used to mess with these people if I had time, but the calls have gotten so frequent, and I'm so busy, that I don't even bother anymore. I auto-block them, and then have a little peace for a few weeks, until they start calling from another number.

Computer hacking scam by Indian guy pretending to represent Microsoft.  When I told him I had not contacted Microsoft, he said Microsoft was receiving "critical error messages" from my computer that he needed to look into and fix.  I told him to remove me from his scam calling list and hung up, then blocked the number.  I'm sure they have more than one number.  Beware.

I've gotten tons of calls this year from this same person/scammer with a variety of names and #'s on my caller ID. So sick of this. Indian dude says he works for Microsoft Technical Support and my computer has an error that he can help fix. BS! It's a scam to hack your computer. Please don't fall for it.
