If you are or were a register.com customer, they are probably trying to call you to get you to renew your web service subscription through them.

Unsolicited call

I just signed up for a hosting account with register.com yesterday and today, this number called me 3x before 2PM. The first 2 times, I was unable to answer. No voicemail was left. The third time, I answered and no one was there. I looked up this number and found this series of postings from other people that have experienced this. I immediately contacted register.com and told them what was happening. The CSR said she did not know why the number was calling me and apologized. I told her to make sure she told her manager because of the complaints found on the internet that others have experienced.

This is probably the third company that I've had to deal with that does this - it's an automated caller, and the people who work at Register.com (at least, the ones YOU will talk to when you call) have no control over it. However, if you call and ask, they will put you on their DO NOT CALL list.

I got called 5 times yesterday starting at noon, and today, 3 times already before noon.  This thing calls every 45 minutes to an hour. At least it calls only during the business hours.   I'm glad to discover other complaints,  maybe we can file a class action.

Wow, I am glad I finally found this...this number has been calling me relentlessly for the last month and a half.  They usually call me about every 45 minutes to an hour and a half and always hang up.  Looks like I will have to contact register and tell them to quit calling me.

same thing four calls in the last two days and they hang up.  same happened to me last year when it was time to renew...

they are calling me now too!  Grrrrr.

this number calls my cell phone multiple time sometimes on a daily basis and never leaves a message

i am so glad i found this site...my details are the same as the posts here on this site.....it has been happening to me for about 2 weeks.....every couple of hours...every day!  at least now i know who is calling!

They keep calling my work. im a receptionist so i have to answer every call even though i realized after register.com hanging up on me everytime i answered.they were never going to talk. it's so annoying!!

this number has been calling me every morning between 8 and 9am for the last 3 weeks, and sometimes in the afternoon as well.  i never answer it, and they never leave a voicemail.  it is VERY annoying!

I contacted Register.com twice (at 212-798-9200, asked for Customer Service) and formally requested that they place my telephone number on the Do Not Call list. They promised me that I would no longer receive these calls. I am still received the calls! I found out that their legal department is in New York. I may call there next. Any ideas?

They have called relentlessly on our business phone...no one on the other end. I have called THEM and complained 4 times. Also number they use is 866 6811704. Same thing, CONSTANT calls. Hard to believe this kind of harassment is legal!
