I have received NUMEROUS THREATENING phone calls from this phone number at my work & cell phone.  They claim to be a "collection" agency but when I ask for the name of their agency or what they are "collecting" they will NOT tell me.  They have actually cursed out the receptionist at my job. Thankfully my boss is very understanding. I work with Judges and went to one on this.  He told me these people were NOT ligit.  That they had to provide what they are "collecting". I figured out the "debt" & took care of it with the company themselves. The Copnay stated that this is probably a 4th party who bought my info & no I do NOT pay them. They tried to say they were with a criminal division too when my boss would NOT put them through to me. Clark Howard even reported on these new scams.  They are buying any past debt/collections & calling people to collect the debt plus a HUGE fee.  They wanted $1095 when in fact the bill was ONLY for $354.  CROOKS.  PLAIN & SIMPLE.  And although the call is a CALIFORNIA number they are in INDIA. SO BEWARE of these horrible bottom feeders.  If you owe any debt/collections call the COMPANY & deal with the COMPANY not these people. A collection agency will work with you to pay off your debt.  They want to be paid.  These idiots would not even do that.  They will even ask for a pre paid debit/visa card.  DO NOT DO IT. DO NOT PAY THEM.  IGNORE THEM. You have a right to what they are "collecting" on.  These supposed human beings wouldn't do that.

I received a disturbing call from this # immediately or else they willl file some charges against me. I had no idea what they were talking about. I called the number back and I get a fast busy. I don't know who these people. are and I don't want them to

Hello, I too have had phone calls and would like to know how you found out who the company was and how you got in contact with them

So, you just ignored them? I got such a call and the guy, sounding very Indian, said "they come andtake you to the judge." Yeah, right.

I received two calls (actually several calls but only 2 messages) stating that if I did not call them back something bad would happen and that they were going to have a law suit against me.  The guys name was Robert Jones, yea right, and could just about speak English.When I called back I also got a fast busy.

I received the same call numerous times.  A VM was left that I could barely understand and when I called back they were very rude and threatening.....also told me I owed $1059 and that a sheriff would be at my house the next day at 11am to serve me.......since when do you get a heads up on being served????  anyway point is they are not a legit company, whatever you do DO NOT give them any person information!!  I basically went off on them told the guy he was full of [***] and that if they called me again I would be the one pressing charges......yeah he hung up and I have not heard back from them since.  Terrible people really!!!

I too got numerous phone calls from this # that were rude threating and harassing.  They also did scare me at 1st stating that I owed 792 dollars and if I did not pay they were going to come get me and my supervisor and take us to the sheriffs office. When I asked what debt it was and if they could send me a statement of whst I owe they stated they could do that after they get a pymt. I actually went to make state police to see what this was and they listened to the messages and started to laugh. They said that I did the right thing not paying and if someone did show at my house to call them bcuz they were not legit. I also gave them the numbers they were calling from and haven't heard from them since. SO please do not pay them especially with any checking or banking acct info bcuz who knows what they could do with it. Oh the funny thing is the callers name was alex booth robert jones supervisor.
