This was a direct number given after multiple extended family members and employer were contacted through main scam number (855)420-3477 (reported multiple times on 800notes). Basically they wanted $6,000 in two hours for furniture debt from a decade ago (not on credit report), or they would serve us, double amount for court fees, and garnish household income by 50%. Most associates were rude and unprofessional (they like to say, "Good luck in court!" - who says that?!?!), and won't give you their name, address, license #, or provide a validation letter via US Mail. You have the right to this info if contacted by a debt collector or attorney's office!! Know your rights. Go to FTC.gov to learn more about your consumer rights and to learn what a real vs. fake creditor looks like. Also, these scam artists may have a lot of information about you, which leads you to believe they are legit. Please do NOT verify any information they have about you over the phone! Give absolutely NO personal info. Feel free to tell them they can come on down and serve you because guess what, they never will!!
