- Jerry D| 3 repliesGoing a little different here,. When I type unknown numbers into my search engine, I get the usual site finds. ALL of them, save 800 notes, have all the information we're all looking for, FOR A PRICE. "Free look-up" means they'll find out everything you want to know. When you click the "view report" button, you're taken to a "pay us" page. Those sites are just as bad as the scammers we come here to identify. Thank you, 800 notes, for providing a truly free public service. As for the phone number in question, picked up the phone, no answer.
- ScottI called it back anonymously (*67) and got the message, "The Google subscriber you have called is not available..."
- mb replies to Jerry DAGREED! Thank YOU, 800-NOTES!!!
- KenJust received call from 1-213-293-5087, caller id on cell indicated Los Angles , Ca. Answer and a woman with an accent answered. She indicated she was calling in reference to "National Grid" which is a power company here in Massachusetts. She said she would call back later. The town I live in has it's own utilities including electric. THIS HAS TO BE A SCAM. I also heard many people talking in the back ground.
- william cieslaAlso received a call (actually two) from this number. When I answered the second there was a brief pause (a sign that the computer is transferring the call to a live operator - who is probably stunned that they actually reached a potential "client"), and the woman, who sounded startled, said, "is this Bob? No? Well, I must have reached the wrong number." Click.
When I tried calling back anonymously, there was a constant busy signal.
Fortunately I have a (Panasonic) phone system that allows me to block all unwanted calls by clicking on a "call block" feature. I have blocked literally hundreds of these scam calls in the last year or so. (It's like whack-a-mole, but I'm whacking a lot of them!) I would suggest everyone check out their phone system and see if it has a similar feature. Our phone rings a lot less often lately - but it's terrific!- Caller: I have no idea
- KathyI to received a call. No one answered in the other line, but someone was Def there. I thought I had a prob with my phone, so I called back to get a google no answer response . Hmmm there seems to be a lot of this going on, I'm just hoping I wasn't charged $$ for calling back...
- Caller: At&t
- LJJust missed a call from this number. I searched it and found this page. Definitely a scam, I blocked the number
- Anthonycalls and hangs up
- Missy lThis call came in selling power...when I called it back the number was not in service... Quick exit if I do say so myself....
- Caller: No id
- Call type: Telemarketer
- hdtvguyCaller ID says "UNKNOWN NAME," always a red flag. Live caller asked for me by name, and identified the company as "National Green." She tried to sell me solar electric stuff. I told her I was on the do not call list, and that means DO NOT CALL.
- Caller: National Green
- Call type: Telemarketer
- [***]Called...no message
- AndreVery bad people calling. Very bad people.
- Caller: Bad, Very Bad
- Call type: Telemarketer
- MarkMissed a call from this # and called it back. Message said something about subscriber not available? Seems like a scam!
- dougGot two calls from this number, no one answered.
- Ste7en| 1 replyCaller ID read Los Angeles 213-293-5087, but should have read Los Diablos 666-666-6666. These scammers are insufferable! Make it stop, please. I feel they're hackers because the last number that called here was a toll-free 877 number which came up as my banks fraud department. By the time I answered that one they had hung up, but I know from past experience they will call back. Once again it looks like maybe our account has been compromised? When asking for "Steven", the scammer pronounced it like the number 7. Common name being mispronounced is a red flag to me. If it was legitimate business they would have been taught the correct pronunciation of many common American names. That's like me saying Ghandi like "candy"... I know better. Please stop preying on good unsuspecting people and stop trying to take our money. We work hard for what we have, which isn't much, but we earned it and you didn't. GO MAKE YOUR OWN MONEY AND LEAVE MINE ALONE... and do it honestly ffs!
