keeps calling

Called and did not leave a message, just like "Nancy" above.

scammers called; didn't answer it and blocked this number from future calling.

Expecting a doctor to call from area code 213 so I answered it.  A male said he was calling from the Royal Order of Fraternal Police or something like that.  I told him my husband was sick and I couldn't talk to him and I hung up.

For the last few days this caller rings and leaves no message. I have them blocked with my Call Blocker, but I still get that initial ring. Verizon recently increased the call blocking from 10 numbers to 100. Great improvement. Block them at the central office so there are no rings at home.

Called Sunday, 8/30/15 at 11:28 am PDT. Caller ID showed "Los Angeles CA". My phone answered by Sentry robo call blocker (Verizon refused call blocking service for me unless we subscribed to their bundle of TV, Internet, and phone!).

Calls several times a week. Says my number will be removed but never removes it. Uses different numbers. Picks up the phone if you call back.

The above posts indicate its a charity call. Charities, along with some Survey's and Political calls, are exempt from the DNC, however, they can still get into trouble for not placing you on a internal DNC when asked, you can also check your states laws in regards.  Some states have different laws in regards to the calls,  which can differ from the federal.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or less. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

I have received many calls from this number before. I know it is a scam , so I dont answer. They dont leave a message.. The thing about these scammers is that they call on Saturdays and Sundays too. My call today ( Sunday) was at 5.15 PM. If it is a legit business or even a charity they will not call on Sundays.

Called says they are with fallen police officers organization.  They asked for a pledge, and they would send me a pledge packet.  I said ok then was transfered to a woman that wanted my credit card info.  I asked what happened to the pledge packet the other guy said they would send.  She says it's ok, they won't ask for my 3 digit code.  And asked if I would make an exception to help families of fallen police officers...I said nope and hung up

This is a new one but I suspect that it is a scammer. Really annoyed at ATT right now. Apparently, I have a 20 call limit for blocking. Heck, that filled up in less than 2 weeks......now what?
