got a voice mail from 213-457-3149, saying its a matter for the treasury department and I need to call back at 213-457-3149 asap. I didn't call them back, that is not the treasury departments number.. (scammers are not that bright)

Called the number back since he called me at 7:23 AM and I didn't answer the call. The guy who answered the phone Sounded like he spoke with a Middle East or Indian accent,  Said he was from the Treasury department and it was a Treasury department matter. i aced if he was the US Treasury department and he answered yes. I told him I didn't believe him and that he sounded like a telemarketer scammer, he told me to F#@K OFF. and hung up.

Received the same phone call from 213-457-3149 saying I have a tax evasion case being brought against me by the US Dept. of Treasury. This is not the Dept. of Treasury's number, and they are located in Washington D.C. anyway, not California.

SCAM! They said I'm being arrested to tax fraud. I told them I'm calling the police. He said, "did you also tell the police that you are a [***] and a [***]!" I said, no but I will. He hung up. I called back and he said the police cant do anything about it cause the police is just as dumb as you white people. Pissed me off!

Made a post about an hour ago on here. They have my phone number and called me back. Told me why would I post something like that on here. He said to make sure I go on here again post that he called letting everyone that he called. So I am.

They called on my cell phone.  I did not answer the call but someone left me a message that I needed to call back asap!!  Nope, that isn't going to happen.  Scammers!!!

People like this need to get a real job and stop trying to steal  other people's  hard earned  money. Cowards that hide behind a computer to commit crime. Scumbags

Just received a phone call from this number saying I committed tax fraud. The middle eastern man said they were issuing a warrant for my arrest tomorrow if I didn't pay the balance of three thousand and something dollars. I asked what years this tax fraud took place and he said between 2000 and 2004. I told him I was 12yrs old in 2000.... I will report this number to as many sources as possible.

Someone from this number called me on my cell.  They hung up when I answered.  I called them back and a man with a limited command of English answered.  He told me was contacting me on behalf of the U.S. Treasury Department, that I owed over $4000 to the IRS, and that there was a warrant for my arrest because I had supposedly committed tax fraud.  He refused to provide any credentials and said he would only give me a "case number."

He demanded I provide him with personal information so that he could contact my lawyer.  When I refused, he became belligerent and rude.  I told him I was going to contact the IRS and he hung up on me.  I recommend filing a police report  (which I did) as well as contacting the U.S. Treasury Inspector General at (800) 366-4484.  This 800 number was the contact number the police gave me.  They said that the Treasury Dept. is investigating these all of these reports as they were receiving an increase in reports of this type in California.   Good luck to all and please don't fall for or be bothered by this scam.
