Out of the blue, I got a call from this phone# a few minutes ago. I don't normally pick up the unknown#, but I was expecting my doctor call. So I picked it up and this person hesitated to speak. So I said, hello! and asking him who he was. He didn't tell me who he was, but he went straight to "Windows virus problems". I knew right away, "SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!" Once, I don't use Windows and second, my relative has been scammed recently by this kind of people for troubleshoot of Windows virus, but what they want is "your $$$ money". He sounds like India speaking accent. Anyway, I asked for his name and the phone# to call back but he hung up.

Yep...just got the "unavailable". Thanks 800Notes.  This may be  a new one, as I have over 100 blocked.  From previous report, sounds like the old windows scam where they try to get you trick you into entering your password and giving them remote access .Then they can do whatever they want including ransomware. If it's legitimate, they will leave a message, and then you can check it out. .

Same thing as others have reported.  Caller hesitated when I answered and said his name was "Sam" from Windows.  Told him I wasn't interested and hung up.  Checked 800notes and then blocked the number.

They didn't say anything at all. After 10 seconds, I hung up.

I just got a call from this number, heard the call center redirect beep and then call center background noise. They did not say anything and neither did I. Next time I get a call from this number I will answer "hello, windows tech support center" and see what they do.

Just got a cal from 213-525-6885 and he said he was notified I have a virus on Windows- he was Eastern Indian and I could barely understand. He asked if I was in front of my computer and I asked how he got my number and he said "internet" I asked him what company and he hung up. SCAM SCAM SCAM

I guess when we complain to US companies that we do not appreciate Foreign Call Centers, the call centers lose their contracts, and so resort to scamming us for money. I like the suggestion of Answering, "Windows Tech Support" that NJMark came up with. Obviously the D.N.C. list does not work overseas. It barely works here.
