Caller ID says "unknown name".  Left no message.

CID is Los Angeles, CA.  Left pre-recorded marketing message from the Los Angeles Times newspaper regarding the paper’s digital edition.  Does give a phone number to opt out of future calls.  We subscribe to the Times, so assume this was a targeted call.

If this is really the LA Times, I do subscribe to their print edition.  But there was no message left.  They should have at least identified themselves as LA Times.  The ID said "Unknown Name".  They called around 10am this past Friday.

But, that being said, even if it did say LA Times, you can never be sure in this day and age of spoofing.

04/24l/18 Caller ID showed unavailable. We screen ALL calls. If no message is left we do not return the call  & the next time it shows up on call iD it gets blocked.
