my husband recieved a call from this number, they asked for him by name. i awnsered the call, he said he didn't know the number and they had called once but he did not awnser. i could hear lots of spanish speaking in the background, the man said he was calling about my husband's medication refill on soma's!! we were very confused!! we are in memphis and have never been prescribed this medication. at the first sign of our confusion the man hung up. we tried to call back only to hear a recording sayingthank you for your patience please hold for the next agent..i held for nearly 10 minutes.don't know if this identity theft or not but i'm very concerned!!

This clown keeps calling my recently activated pre-paid cellphone, calls at all hours and finally I answered since I do know people in L.A. although no one but my wife and I actually know the number to the new phone.

I couldn't understand the callers ebonics, asking for Mookay, Pookay, Fookay... or maybe he was hungry for a cookie.  Horrible call quality on his end, echo as well as traffic sounds, I told him in very strong language to stop wasting my phone credits @ .16 a flippin' minute with his nonsense and hopefully that will be the end of it, otherwise as soon as I get through the Motomanual the number will get blocked.

its an illegal pharmacy.  turn them in to the dea.  fda.gov and there is a way to report them.

We receive calls from these people two or three times a month. Caller ID shows a different number every time they call. They always ask for Mischa and want to sell medications. In the last 18 months I would guess I have spoken to these people 25-30 times. I always tell them to remove us from their list. I am always told they will. I believe they are calling from India - the accents are always Indian or Pakistani.

How do we stop these calls???

This number keeps calling my cell phone. I have not been answering and there is never a voice mail. I suspect it's an online pharmacy that keeps harassing me. They periodically change their phone numbers and this must be their latest.  I've been trying to get them to stop calling me for over 2 years now!  It's a total nightmare.

Caller asked for me by name.  When I asked for the caller's name and I didn't recognize the name, I stated I didn't take telemarketing calls.  Caller then got very angry and asked how I knew it was a telemarketing call.  I said, "Fine, then what company do you work for?"  Caller told me I needed to change my attitude and I was very rude and that he worked for a lawyer.  He promptly hung up.  I tried to call the number to ask for my name to be removed from their list, but was put on hold immediately.  Held for over ten minutes with no response.

The greatest thing about receiving these types of calls on my cell phone is that AT&T has a free feature called "ADD TO REJECT LIST".  You may see the number come up but it never rings through.

I'm glad I read this blog.  When this number calls me, no one ever says anything.

Thanks for the tip Barefoot.  AT&T didn't have a free blocking feature but for $4.99/month I was able to get what they call "Smart Limits for Wireless.  Works like a charm!

Got a call and they mentioned me by name.  Wonder how they got my name?  I'm very discreet in giving my number.  The man spoke in a phoney latino accent ... I thought it was a friend making joke, but it wasn't.  I lied & pretend to be somebody else and tell that I was out of the office.

I have ordered diet pills on line before and when you do that you must enter a phone number.  Now they are calling me about 4-6 times a month to refill.  I should have entered a fake number I guess.

Just call saying beunos tadis and then I hang up.  Call about twice a day everyday. When i try to call number back placed immediately on hold. 1-213-725-5240

Caller asked for my husband. When I said he was not home (it was 10:45 a.m. and he was at work), the caller said he wanted to offer my husband, who works in IT, a free computer magazine subscription. I said I couldn't help. He hung up.

Called again, about 10 minutes after the first call (above).
Answered because I wanted to see what they were peddling. No one on the other end, just clicking noises.

I received a call for one of my employees and told them she was not in today. When asked if we could take a message they said NO. After four calls with in 2 minutes I pretended she was in and asked if I could say who was calling, they identified themselves as Instant Wages.com I told them she was not in and to quit calling, they did not quit calling until they made several more attempts. I called her and she said she had applied for a loan and got hammered with calls like thins.

Called to verify a pre-approved payday cash loan.  Was asked to answer security questions on website given, then was told someone would call back within 30 to verify the loan and my consent to receive it, and was told the number would come up as private.  Never received that second phone call.  SCAM - be careful who you give information to.

I received a call from (213)725-5240 last night.  They called about 10 times within 30 minutes.  It was after 10:00 at night and I was very annoyed. I told them that he was not home and asked who was calling.  They said it was a personal matter.  They asked for my husband by name.  I yelled into the phone and told them to stop calling us and that it was after 10:00 at night and they stopped calling finally, but they will probably start calling again today.  These people have got to be stopped.  This is so annoying.

The company i work for started receiving calls from this number for an employee. I told them he was not in, that he worked out of town that i could take a message and have him call them back. He said it was a personal matter that he would call back. He called back 30 seconds later. I told him he just called and that he was not in. He said "ok, i will call back." I informed him that he should not call back, that he will not EVER be able to reach him at this number. He said, "ok, i'll call back." A lady from the same number called back 1 min. later. I told her the same. She said "ok, i'll call back." grrrr!!! She did, she called back 1 min. later. Then we got 4 more calls within the next 10 min. Please say that is it!!
