Got a call and a hang up.

Got a call then immediate hang up

3:59pm Mtn time -- called and hung up when I picked up the phone.  Does anyone ever track down these numbers and do something about them?

I get at least 2 calls per day, sometimes more. I have answered every time and i say hello over and over, then they just hang up!!! It is really beginning to piss me off, if anyone finds out who this is, please let me know!

Just got a call and hang up... and recording after calling back... thought it my be my ex.....good thing to know it isn't...

I came home from being away in PA for 2 days and saw that number on my caller ID. When I called its a recording that says leave your message after the tone.

10-18-08. Called my CA area code 805 business phone on a Saturday and hung up on answering machine.  Am on Do Not Call.  Here is a list of 132 unwanted calls from May to now.  Many call repeatedly.

called me but said nothing and then hung up, called them right back and it went to a automative machine and i left them a message.

Like others I see on online where I found this site, I get called and it hangs up as soon as you answer, no matter how many rings it takes.

Answered phone and they just hung up. This is very annoying. Does anyone know who the heck this is?

Just got a call from the this number. I didn't reach the phone in time and they didn't leave a message. I called the number back and got a voice mail with a professional female voice that said "Please Leave a Message" and then it beeped.

I get this call following another call from GE MONEY on my home line.  678-518-2881.  I once got an a live person from the number and they were making a collection call.  I said I thought it was illegal to make collection calls on Sunday.  They got mad, said it was not and they would just hang up and call me back again, and again.  Oh well, that is why I screen my calls for idiots.  I owe no one and I am never late on payments.  Some body wastes a lot of time and effort to try and annoy us.  They call my cell from 213-797-1040 and hang up.  They call my business from the same number and just hang up.  Stupid is as.....

Weeks ago I was getting calls from Toll Free.  Called it and it was portfolio collections.  They claimed I owed a lot of money to different places from as far back as 1998.  This was not true so I asked them to send me copies of where I signed for these services.  Instead they sent Identity Theft or fraud papers for me to fill out.  I wrote a letter instead telling them I did not owe them and at the recommendation of the attorney general I registered it.  It went to LA,Ca so I am sure this is them.  Go to your attorney general and file charges against them.  It is also illegal to make collection calls on Sunday so they just call and hang up to harrass and that is a charge they will have filed by me along with fraud.

I have made an FCC complaint on this number and the GE Money number
678=518-2881.  I recieve many of the same numbers as you on my business line, home, and cell.  I suggest we track these and make repeated complaints to the FCC.  Also try and do a ping to the websites, get their IP's and repeatedly ping them to give them a DOS (denial of service) or tracert their address to find their IP.  You may also do a "who is" by IP or website name.  You can find these people and send them some complaints and find out what they really want or is it just... stupid is as....
I am finding once I start complaining and filing FCC, FTC, and BBB complaints they are so busy answering the complaints and being investigated the calls begin to dwindle.  Johnny Carson once said" "Your finger nails and hair continue to grow when you die but, the calls seem to tapper off"

Just filed with FCC, FTC, and BBB.  Keep it up.  We can as a collective shut down some of these non-sense calls.  I got a call earlier from GE Money and seconds later this one 213-797-1040 after I told them the same it was illegal to make collection calls on a Sunday.  They said they would just hang up and call again.  I have no cards from Wal Mart/GE Money, I pay all my bills on time.  Even traffic citations if I get one.  Pay my tax's and give large donations to good causes.  I like what Johnny Carson said: "The finger nails and hair keep growing, but the calls tapper off when you die"
