This number has called our business 8+ times a day for the last week and a half asking for people that do not work for us. I have repeatedly asked them to stop calling and to remove our number from their call list - they just continue to call. The last and 7th time today I told the caller that I will file a complaint against them with the Ohio Attorney General Office if I receive another phone call from their number, she said "no need to do that" and I said "yes, there is a need, you will not stop calling and I've asked you to remove our number multi times, next I file" and I hung up - several seconds later they called back ... so I'm filing a complaint!

Scammers.

I do not take calls from unknown number, and don't know anybody from LA, California.
I don't want THEM to call me to my cell.

Leave a message if you are legitimate!  Don't call 7 times without leaving a message, scammers!!

They call often, asking for the CEO of one of our companies, but never leave him a message.

Just rec'd a call from these twerps. The lady on the other end of the phone asked for the lady that left here 3 years ago. I told her she no longer works here and she said, "well, you will work. I'm calling from Motor Trend magazine and we are updating our systems." She then proceeded asking for my name, business info. I just told her we aren't interested and ended up having to hang up on her because she would not stop talking.

Live operator calling a business line.  Wanting to send me a subscription to "Security Products Magazine".  Yes, security is important, and generally the first line of security is to not volunteer information to an unknown person making an unsolicited call.  Searched to see if I could find it, and if I did find the right one, they have a very annoying lightbox ad that displays EVERY page click.

This number keeps calling my husband's cell phone.  No one ever answers when he picks up.....this is really annoying considering we have pay as you go phones.

I picked up and listened, heard the distinct background noise of a boiler room, and hung up without speaking. Hopefully they'll think it's a dead line and stop calling. (I wish!)

Fortunately I was not home to get the call. I just got a really really garbled message on my answering machine like somone was talking but too much static and other noise in the background to make out what they were saying if anything.

They've called two more times...  I really don't want your magazine..

When she called today, she asked only for "David"
There are several guys with that name, so i asked "Which one?"  I think she HEARD me say "Whatcha want?" Because she started into her spiel. "I'm calling to update information to send a free magazine..."
I hung up.

Folks, just get a phone number blocking app for your cell phone. I use the "Mr. Number" Blocking App for my Android. They call once and then you add them to your block list. Now, when they call, all the get is a hang up. They don't even go to your voice mail, they simply get disconnected. The best part... your phone will never ring once you block them. #WINNING

Mechanical Electric Design Magazine calls every month looking to update our information. Seriously, nothing has changed every month that you need to call.

And they've called again.  I really got after the lady this time, and wanted some sort of positive confirmation that I've declined this subscription and do not want to be called about it again.  I've recorded the call, so if I get it again, I'm not going to be happy.  I notice on the page http://security-today.com/pages/contact-us.aspx, their "Circulation Director" Margaret Perry doesn't have a phone number.  However, there are many other phone numbers on there which I could call and see if I would be able to discuss my subscription.

Request to be taken off of their solicitation list. If they call back again, feel free to file a complaint with the FTC.

Doesn't leave a message on work phone.  I get so many telemarketing calls that I just ignore them.
