6/17/15 here in PA got call from this Los Angeles CA number, no message left.

Just got a call a few minutes ago here in St. Louis. Caller ID showed Alarm Co. Left no message

call to my home phone # which is on no call list. Caller ID showed alarm co.  Left no message.

Called twice so far today.  No message left.

I answer NOTHING unless there is an ID that I recognize! If by chance it's someone I need to speak to, they will leave a message.  I sent this one straight to voicemail (no message) and then blocked it. Best strategy - don't answer, block, repeat.

Free home security system

Second call in a week. They say they will be in my area and they are giving away free GE alarm systems. All you have to do is hang up. I did.

Scam call telling you that there is a lot of crime in your area and if offering you a "FREE SECURITY SYSTEM" that will cost you a fortune.  The St, Louis T.V. station had an alert some time ago where an elderly woman was bilked out of almost $6000 for a "FREE SECURITY SYSTEM"  DON'T ANSWER THESE CALLS OR ATTEMPT TO CALL THEM BACK.  Calling back means your are interested and you will continue to get calls and high pressure.  ANSWER CALLS ONLY FROM PEOPLE YOU KNOW OR LEAVE A MESSAGE.

I got a call from 213-921-4701.  I have caller ID and an answering machine.  I will not answer numbers that I do not know who they are.  Party didn't leave a message.  I have filed a complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry.    I understand this is a Scam call.

When I get these kind of calls ,what I do is  hit the answer button then the # sign on my phone as fast as I can and about 15 times in a row the hang up. This seems to lesson the number of times they will call back. Sometimes 1 or 2 times a week then they stop for awhile. Try it, see if this works you. Good luck !

They made two attempts to call me yesterday.  "Alarm Co" again. What makes them think that changing their phone number is somehow going to get people to fall for their scam?

Using your caller I.D. to screen these calls is an excellent strategy. Block these numbers if you have the
ability.  Thank God for this web site.  What ever happened to the Do Not Call list?

Called me too.  My new spiel must sound like an answering machine, because they all hang up - sometimes before it's finished.

Two calls from this number this afternoon...caller ID says Los Angeles, CA.  When I answer, no one is there.

I answered the call.  It was definitely a male computer voice that talked to me.   He wanted to install the free GE alarm system.  He told me theives will cut my land line outside so my phone won't work.  Who falls for this with the vast majority of people also have a cell if they have a land line?  He asked if I owned or rented the house.  When I said "neither" he hung up.

This number calls a lot and never leaves a message.

Area code 213 is not a Webster Groves, MO or St. Louis, MO area code.
