Illegally tried to call my cell phone, which is also on DNC list. Automatically my phone's system blocked these idiotic scammers also.

Received missed call and no message.  Wanted to share.  I am also on the DNC list.

I answered since I was expecting a call, and it was probably a recording.  Recording said he was from the "customer service department" with no company.  Big red flag.  Asked if I could hear clearly, which I didn't reply at all to because of the lack of identification.  Then the recording said, "ok, great, you've been pre-selected to receive..."  I hung up at that point because this is obviously a spam call.

Florida Vacation give away SCAM.  Calling a business cell phone taking up my time and money.  I just hang up on the idiots and block the number but they call eventually on a new number.

Call my number which is listed on the Do Not Call registry. This appears to be a solicitation caller.

caller id: los angeles ca. called home phone. left no message. i dont answer calls i dont know.

Recieve a call too. No message. I'm also on the DNC list. Another number to block.

Called yesterday....I thought it might be a wrong number so didn't block....Called again today....no message....# is now blocked

They will never reach me by phone. My phone numbers are on the DO NOT CALL list, and I mean it: if I don't know them personally, don't call. Since they don't respect the DNC list -- I put them on my personal "DNA List" (DO NOT ANSWER list). I don't know who they are, nor do I care. This category of phone-caller tries to get you to empty your bank account into theirs. Don't fall for it. Never give out personal info over the phone, including surveys.

I curse the people involved in these scams, plus their friends and extended family. My curse for them, their extended family and friends suffer prolonged, painful, debilitating, bankrupting, hideous, never-healing gangrene, deformities and death. Go to hell.

Same as everyone else. DNC and they illegally call.  Dead air.  Dead giveaway.  I don't need THEIR giveaway!  Nora-virus isn't on my bucket list!

Seems lots of these calls are doing this now.  You think its a real person but its a recording.  From what I've read, their questions are asked to get certain responses to put together a scam for maybe stealing identities. I've had this same call from several different numbers.

They called June 3, I did not pick up, they did not leave a message.

They called a few minutes ago.  I have my landline set up to forward unanswered calls after the 3rd ring to Jolly Roger Telephone, which is a bot that messes with these telemarketers and crooks.  For repeat callers I also have a list of 20 numbers that are automatically forwarded to Jolly Roger and don't even ring into the house.

Called my cell and I answered. It is a vacation marketing call. Blocked the caller!!!

As others above report, this is a cheesy vacation scam. Number blocked.

Yeah, the DNC is useless.  Imo, the law should be completely revamped to put some teeth in it.   As currently implemented, it is useless.  Sometimes, I wonder if telemarketers simply download the DNC list, and then use that to call people.  I mean, the list is by definition a list of live numbers.  Easier for them to dial DNC numbers than to simply dial all numbers in a prefix, for example.

Fact: The Do Not Call list is NOT a call blocker!
The DNC list is a LIST, subscribed to / purchased by legitimate telemarketers, so they know who not to call.  The cost for the list is about $16,400 per year.

Fact: Scammers and spammers ignore the DNC list.
Many use "war dialers" to quickly dial phone numbers.  After all, phone numbers are just numbers, and are no secret!

Fact: The DNC list does not apply to NON-sales calls, such as political calls, charities, surveys, debt collectors and businesses with which you have done business with during the previous 18 months.

Fact:  Spam callers can be blocked by getting a real call blocker.
 Google (or your favorite search engine) is your friend.
