They left a message for someone I don't know stating that they were Investigative Services and they have charges that are criminal in nature and to call back. If they were legitimate, would they leave all that info.?

Maria, I saw this, and need to append, that by law, if it were legitimate, formal letters need to be mailed to you, often with "signed return receipt" after preliminary attempts. Assuming you don't have any clouds looming over your head, don't even answer. If it were truly serious in nature, then you might also be served by a "warrant officer", in which case you have larger issues. Most often these are total ruses, to hook and bait you in endless scams. One thing humankind (at least on this earth) we'll never rid of, are scam-artists.
