My husband received a call from this number and received a recorded message "Legal Enforcement Action was being taken on this Social Security Number for fraudulent activities to call back immediately before action was taken".  This appeared to be bogus.  I called the number back and someone immediately answered with a thick accent saying "Social Security".  I said "this is Social Security?"  He said, "Yes, Social Security."  I said, "That's weird, when I've called Social Security in the past, I've had to wait an hour to speak to a representative."  After that, he hung up on me.  This is a SCAM!

Called and said from Social Security and that there were 'legal actions' against my number.  Called back busy signal.  Any government entity would mail you notification first and NOT call so checked the mail and nothing.  Scam

Received the same type of call last evening. More low-life scammers. Government agencies will contact you by mail, not by phone.

Same call.From SSN and that they were taking legal action against me. I screw w these type of calls. Same w telemarking. Put them on hold, tell them ok here’s the number but put them on hold for 10 minutes while you locate your card, then oh my I can’t find my wallet can you hold for like another 10 minutes while I run out to my card.
I’ve been successful keeping dummies like this holding on the phone w cliff hanger promises for at least an hour. And they NEVER call back and telemarking comes to a screeching halt. I think they have a way of blacklisting your number.
