This is DriveTime Collections - They changed originally from the 800 number.

Yes, this is DriveTime.  They know people may not pick up 800, 866 or 877 numbers, so they call from numbers with a local area code.  They have numbers for all markets.  Once a connection has been made and they have spoken with a live person, this number is not easily taken off their list.  According to their collections process, the identity of a debtor can be made via the phone number in which the call is placed.  So, you may wish to not borrow a friends phone to call DriveTime.  From that moment on, that number will be noted as "your" number.  Good luck with DriveTime.

I am not  behind on payments. They keep calling and hanging up. Must be a robo call.
As a precaution, I call them prior to posting and my account is ahead 1 month anyway.

I had my cousins phone and told the lady who asked for her I didn't know her. My cousin just talked to the finance company yesterday because she missed a week of work due to the flu and made over 1/2 of her payment and told the finance company she would pay the remaining on the first of the month. Wth would the debt collectors be calling for if she already made payment arrangements that's just stupid!!!
