I do not answer any unknown numbers. I received 3 calls from 215-653-8000 with an Ambler PA id. After checking here, I answered the third call. As stated by others, it was a computer message to call 800-523-5800 for further information on their health insurance application. That number was identified as AARP Member Advantages and after various options given, I was given the status of my new enrollment from the day before.

CID said AARP member. I picked up but said nothing. Finally recording came on to give rating of service on recent call I made to AARP United health Care. I did make an inquiry and this was a follow-up call, but I did not take the survey. Assume this was legit, but didn't respond

It is a robot call confirming my enrollment in AARP, did not ask for any information.

It was a followup for an inquiry I made yesterday to AARP United Healthcare insurance about a claim I was trying to find out about. It wanted me to take a 6 question rating of the customer service person who handled my inquiry. I tis NOT a scam.

I did not answer either calls that I received from this number this morning, but after reading posts I am sure it was AARP, as I contacted them two days ago requesting information about Medicare supplemental insurance plan costs, plus I know that their offices are located in this area of Pennsylvania.  People should not jump to conclusions.  I dislike the unsolicited calls as much as the next person.  That's why I investigate numbers before I decide whether to block them or not.

This was a legitimate call verifying enrollment in an AARP UHC medicare supplemental insurance plan. The message is automated. It asks you to verify your name, and then gives information regarding when they are going to mail the plan information kit and id card.

This is a scam.  The caller is supposedly from AARP.  I called AARP to see if the number was legitimate, and they said it is not.  So, don't give any information to the caller; better yet, don't answer the phone.

United from AARP to confirm, after answering their questions as to whether the name they gave me was mine, that my supplemental medical policy had been approved and that I would be receiving additional material in the mail. I only answered the third call they made today after reading these comments as I normally do not answer call numbers I do not recognize. Thanks to all.

This is legitimate. My wife enrolled in AARP/UHC and this was a follow up call to say the application was received.
